KVH Unveils TracVision TV10 Antenna

KVH Industries, Inc. launched the newest marine satellite TV antenna in its TracVision series. A 1-meter ultra-high efficiency marine antenna, the TracVision TV10 provides the biggest coverage footprint in KVH’s TracVision series and is designed to provide boat owners, charter yacht guests and commercial vessel crews with access to live news, local channels and TV and movie programming from leading satellite TV providers worldwide.KVH describes TracVision TV10 as the world’s lightest 1-meter Ku-band marine satellite TV antenna.

TracVision TV8 is designed to provide the tracking, reception and extended coverage area needed for yachts and merchant vessels calling on ports around the world. Pay-As-You-Go Satellite TV Service

KVH TracVision owners in the U.S. KVH Industries, Inc., is bringing the benefits of “Pay-As-You-Go” satellite TV service from DISH Network to customers in the marine market for the first time. This program gives seasonal boaters with TracVision satellite TV antenna systems the flexibility to pay for DISH Network service only when their boat is in the water. There is no charge for starting or stopping monthly service. This new program broadens the appeal of satellite TV on a boat.

Intellian to Debut Pair of 3-Axis TV Antennas

Intellian Technologies announced the upcoming release of two compact 33 inch (83 cm), 3-axis stabilized TV antennas. Shipping in March 2012, the Intellian t80 and t80W are specifically designed for use on yachts and commercial vessels requiring a compact antenna size with global satellite TV service reception. The Intellian t80 antennas use a fully stabilized 3-axis platform, as well as a fourth axis for LNB auto-skew control, ensuring seamless operation in all regions. Multiple HD receivers can be connected to the system as standard, providing a truly hands off global coverage depending on the regions visited. Built-in as standard an internal GPS combined with Intellian’s patented Wide Range Search (WRS) provides the fastest satellite acquisition possible.

Intellian’s New k4 Ka-Band HDTV Antenna

Intellian Technologies, a world leader in marine satellite entertainment and communications, announced the latest addition to its line of marine satellite TV antennas, the k4. The K4 and k6 can be used in conjunction with an Intellian Technologies’ Ku-band antenna to provide boaters all 500 DirectTV’s HD and SD programming channels. Intellian’s new Dual Antenna Control Unit (DACU) allows boaters to seamlessly switch between DirecTV’s five satellites providing the same full digital and HD programming enjoyed by home viewers. New Antennas from Sea Tel

Sea Tel has released the first USAT (Ultra Small Aperture Terminal) antenna. Sea Tel announced a smaller, lighter 60 cm antenna system, the first 60 cm marine antenna to meet FCC’s and ETSI’s specification allowing multi mode use with Spread Spectrum, TDMA and SCPC services. The USAT 24 is aimed at Coastal trading vessels and inland craft. Services are currently being Beta trialed with a number of modem providers including Hughes, Viasat, iDirect, and STM on a number of satellite operator’s footprints world-wide. Service in Europe and the US is expected to start in the 4th Quarter of 2008.
