Intelsat Adds Compact FlexMaritime 45cm Antenna Class

Vertom-Bojen Chooses IP@SEA VSAT

Independent satellite communications provider NSSLGlobal has signed a deal to roll out its VSAT IP@SEA service to the worldwide trading part of Vertom-Bojen’s fleet.Based in Nermoor, Germany, Vertom-Bojen has a fleet consisting of mini bulkers, general cargo vessels and multi-purpose vessels. Vertom, located in Rhoon near Rotterdam, provides in-house chartering for Vertom-Bojen with more than 40 years’ experience and 80 vessels in chartering.In 2016, Vertom-Bojen rolled-out NSSLGlobal’s FleetBroadband Airtime plans across its fleet. Marlink Delivers Fleet Xpress on Antarctic Support Vessel

Marlink said it has migrated Aker BioMarine’s Antarctic krill harvester fleet support ship, La Manche, to Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress service. The system provides a boost to crew communication facilities on board as well as enables vessels to benefit from improved business intelligence and remote access to the vessel’s IT network. Partners Set Out to Boost Maritime Comms

A collaboration between Orange Business Services and BlueTide Communications aims to deliver comprehensive maritime communications, reaching almost every sea and ocean around the world. The combination of Orange’s global satellite network with BlueTide’s specialized maritime solutions will power the navigation, cyber security, voice and video, corporate applications and asset management for vessels in the workboat industry. Orange said it is providing BlueTide with managed global Ku band VSAT capacity, with the ability to switch to alternative satellite beams  for seamless global coverage. BlueTide can provide vessels with live video surveillance, cyber security and systems monitoring, all high-end solutions delivered on the Orange network for seamless availability on a global scale.

NSSLGlobal Launches Cellular/VSAT Hybrid System

VSAT provider NSSLGlobal has launched its first-ever hybrid cellular/VSAT solution for maritime vessels, the Cellular Marine System. This service will complement NSSLGlobal’s airtime VSAT offering, or other services such as FleetBroadband and Iridium Open Port, allowing seafarers accustomed to land services to transfer from satellite to mobile connectivity, while operating up to 25km offshore. O3b Networks to Install System in 'Oasis of the Seas'

GlobeComm Implementing GSM/VSAT to Global Fleets

Globecomm Maritime Extends Ericsson Mobile Connectivity to Worldwide Fleet. Global Seatrade to install se@FLEX

Heavy-lift specialist is first customer to sign up for new flat-rate global coverage VSAT service package. Globecomm Systems Inc., a global provider of communications solutions and services, announced today that Global Seatrade, a unit of the Hartman Marine Group, has awarded it a contract for unified maritime communications. Services will be provided by Mach6, a unit of Globecomm Maritime, using its global VSAT platform, which provides automatic roaming between Ku-band satellite beams on a global basis at a flat rate. The contract was awarded in October.
