Sapura Energy Wins Contracts in Mexico, Malaysia

BIG DATA: First Intelsat EpicNG Satellite Launched

The launch yesterday of  the Intelsat 29e, the first of the Intelsat EpicNG high throughput satellites, promises to usher in a new era of "Big Data" in the maritime sector, among others. The satellite was launched from French Guiana aboard an Ariane 5 vehicle. Manufactured by Boeing and equipped with advanced digital payload, Intelsat 29e will bring high throughput capacity in both C- and Ku-band to North and Latin America and the North Atlantic region. Intelsat 29e will be placed into service at 310° East, where it replaces Intelsat 1R.

Intelsat Records $598 mln Q2 Revenue

Satellite services provider Intelsat S.A. has reported total revenue of $598.1 million and net income attributable to Intelsat S.A. of $60.2 million, or $0.47 per common share on a diluted basis, for the three months ended June 30, 2015. Intelsat Reports 4Q and Full Year 2012 Results

Intelsat S.A. reported financial results for the 2012 fourth quarter and full year. Intelsat S.A. reported revenue of $672.4 million and a net loss of $3.7 million for the three months ended December 31, 2012. The company also reported Intelsat S.A. EBITDA1, or earnings before net interest, loss on early extinguishment of debt, taxes and depreciation and amortization, of $520.0 million, and Intelsat S.A. Adjusted EBITDA1 of $516.5 million, or 77 percent of revenue, for the three months ended December 31, 2012. For the 12 months ended December 31, 2012, Intelsat S.A.

Intelsat Names Grant Marais Regional Vice President

Intelsat S.A., a  provider of satellite services, has announced  that Mr. Grant Marais has been appointed Regional Vice President of Africa Sales, effective Jan. 3, 2013. Marais will be responsible for supporting the growth of Intelsat's customers in the region, which includes leading telecommunications and wireless operators, network services providers, and DTH platform operators and broadcasters. MTN Commits to Intelsat Open Architecture Satellite Platform

Under a long-term agreement, MTN will leverage the first Intelsat EpicNG satellite, Intelsat 29e, to provide more than 2 gigabits of capacity for MTN's cruise and yacht customers in the Caribbean. The Intelsat EpicNG platform is a complementary overlay to Intelsat's leading global satellite network. Initially, MTN will utilize capacity on Intelsat's Ku-band mobile global broadband infrastructure. Once Intelsat 29e is launched in 2015, MTN will then partially transition to its custom-designed service on the Intelsat EpicNG platform, enabling MTN to deliver an unprecedented level of throughput in key Caribbean regions, especially for the cruise and yacht sectors.

Harris CapRock to Use Intelsat EpicNG Platform

Intelsat S.A., the world's leading provider of satellite services, today announced that Harris CapRock Communications, a global provider of fully managed communications for remote and harsh environments, will utilize the Intelsat EpicNG platform on Intelsat 29e for advanced fixed and mobile services. Under a multi-year agreement, Harris CapRock will utilize the next- generation Intelsat EpicNG platform to expand its service offerings and offer new applications to its global customers across the energy, maritime and government markets. Intelsat Announces the Intelsat EpicNG Satellite Platform

Intelsat S.A  has introduced the Intelsat EpicNG satellite platform, a new series of satellites based upon a high performance, open architecture design. Intelsat EpicNG will be deployed for wireless and fixed telecommunications, enterprise, mobility, video and government applications requiring broadband infrastructure across the major continents. The Intelsat EpicNG platform is an innovative approach to satellite and network architecture utilizing multiple frequency bands, wide beams, spot beams and frequency reuse technology. Stratos Supplies Singapore’s SE Ship Management
