Norwegian offshore wind vessel owner Edda Wind announced it has appointed Hermann Hovland Øverlie as its new chief financial officer (CFO) following the resignation of Tom Johan Austrheim. Øverlie will join Edda Wind March 1, 2024.Øverlie is currently senior vice president of business development at Flex LNG and was previoulsy CFO at Amar Group. Øverlie has also extensive experience from financial/liquidity planning, risk management and financial analysis from Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers and DnB. He holds a master’s degree in financial economics from BI Norwegian School of Management.

Crowley has named offshore wind veteran Christy Guthman as vice president of business development for its Wind Services business as the company grows in the clean, sustainable energy sector.Guthman most recently served as executive general manager of sales and commercial operations for GE Offshore Wind. During her tenure there, she built the company’s North American sales, marketing and supply chain strategy. Guthman also worked as General Electric’s senior sales director for the western U.S.

Hornblower Group announced Monday that Adam C. Peakes has joined the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Corvus Energy has appointed Geir Bjørkeli as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bjørkeli was previously Director of Norway for the Dutch company Huisman, and established the company’s Norwegian presence for offshore construction equipment solutions. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), represented by Chief Executive, Andrew Tan, signed a Joint Statement with the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries on October 10 during the State Visit by President Tony Tan Keng Yam to Norway. Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced the appointment of Mr Lim Ah Doo as an independent non-executive Director of the Company and a Member of the Audit Committee with effect from 10 November 2015. Mr Lim, 66, was formerly the President and subsequently the non-executive Vice Chairman of RGE Pte Ltd (formerly known as RGM International Pte Ltd). His past working experience includes an 18-year banking career in Morgan Grenfell from 1977 to 1995, during which he held several key positions including that of Chairman of Morgan Grenfell (Asia) Limited.  Mr Lim graduated with an honours degree in Engineering from the Queen Mary College, University of London and a Master in Business Administration from the Cranfield School of Management.

Team Tankers International Ltd has appointed Hans Feringa as new President and CEO. Feringa is the former President of Stolt Tankers, a division of Stolt-Nielsen Limited. Ana Zambelli, currently Managing Director for Subsea Operations at Transocean, will take up the role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in Maersk Drilling. She will start 1 June 2015 reporting directly to CEO Claus V. Hemmingsen. Ana Zambelli will assume the position as CCO after Martin Fruergaard, who after 25 years in the Maersk Group, six of them as CCO for Maersk Drilling, will leave Maersk Drilling. “Martin has for more than 25 years served the Maersk Group in various positions, the last six years as CCO of Maersk Drilling, where he has been instrumental in our growth and has provided for increased customer relations as a large part of the recipe for our success.

The nomination committee in Statoil has recommended that the company's corporate assembly elects Øystein Løseth as new chair and Roy Franklin as a new member and deputy chair of Statoil's board of directors. Furthermore, the nomination committee recommends a re-election of Bjørn Tore Godal, Jakob Stausholm and Marjan Oudeman as members of the board of directors. Chair of the board Svein Rennemo and board member Jim Mulva have informed the nomination committee that they do not wish to stand for re-election in 2015. Svein Rennemo has been chair of the Statoil board of directors since 2008, and informed the nomination committee in 2014 that he wanted to be replaced.

Christopher J. Wiernicki, chairman, president and CEO of ABS, addressed graduating students, their families and faculty members at Maine Maritime Academy's (MMA) Commencement on May 2. Mike Detmer has been appointed to the position of chief operating officer at New Nautical Coatings, Inc.
