Nevsky Shipyard Delivers Akademik Pashin

Russian shipbuilder Nevsky Shipyard (NSSZ), a part of United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), has delivered the replenishment oiler Akademik Pashin to the Russian Navy.The shipbuilding and shiprepair enterprise said that the project was developed by Spetssudoproect, JSC.The construction of the tanker Akademik Pashin is being carried out in accordance with the State Contract for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.The ship represents medium-sized sea tanker, steel, single-deck, with bulb fore end and transom aft end with forecastle and poop superstructures, double-hull near cargo tanks, with cargo hold in the middle part…

Genoil Signs Tri-Partite Scientific Pact on Low Sulphur Fuel Oil

Clean technology engineering company for the petroleum industry Genoil Inc has signed a tri-partite science, research and technical cooperation agreement with two leading Russian institutions. Genoil has joined forces with the UFA Scientific Research Institute of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemistry, located in Bashkortostan, Russia, and the OJS VNIIUS Institute, located in Tatarstan, Russia to establish a world class partnership. The scope of the agreement is to research, develop and market cutting-edge technologies and patents both in the Americas and globally. The partnership will focus on the petrochemistry, petroleum refining and gas chemistry industries where, through joint co-operation and a wide base of expertise, the parties саn add significant value to client proposals.

Rosneft Restores Meteorological Observations System in Kara Sea

As part of a large-scale summer Arctic research expedition "Kara-Summer - 2014" a meteorological station was installed that meets the latest modern requirements for such equipment, on the island of Uedinenie. Thus, the expedition organized by the "Arctic Research and Development Center" (a joint venture of "Rosneft" and ExxonMobil), with the support of the specialists from the FGBI "Arctic and Antarctic Scientific Research Institute" has completed the restoration of the system of meteorological observations in the Kara Sea, where previously as commissioned by the Company three more stations were installed. This will allow supplying the region with a full-fledged complex of meteorological monitoring.

Shipbuilding and Repair Presence Primorye

Far Eastern Center for Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing is being created in Primorye. The Primorsky Territory Administration hosted a meeting dedicated to this new center. RF President Aide Alexander Burutin and Primorye Vice-Governor Pavel Popov took part in the meeting dedicated to creation of OJSC, which was held in the Primorsky Territory Administration. As the Administration reports, this open joint-stock company (OJSC) will be a sub-holding within the United Shipbuilding Corporation, which is now being founded on the initiative of the RF President Vladimir Putin.
