VIDEO: Dship Carriers Delivers Offshore Wind Pile Installation Frame to Taiwan

Ocean transportation services company Dship Carriers has said it has transported a 750-metric-ton Pile Installation Frame (PIF), measuring 33.5 x 33.5 x 29 meters, as well as other offshore and seabed equipment from Rotterdam, the Netherlands to An Ping, Taiwan.The delivery is part of a contract awarded by offshore installation services company Seaway 7 for an offshore windfarm project. Blyth Workcats Delivers Aqualink

The first two-deck boat ever built by Blyth Workcats has recently been delivered to a customer in Belgium. The 18-meter Aqualink is the first Blyth Workcat to feature a high bridge and it has now entered service with Ostend Marine Services for which it has been designed to undertake a wide range marine operations. These include work as a charter survey vessel while also being equipped with an Ocean 3 bow fender and wide foredeck that enable it to undertake crew transfer and cargo delivery to offshore wind farms.

Kvaerner Launches Aker Kvaerner

Kvaerner, has launched a new company with 18,000 employees in 17 countries and on five continents. The new company, to be known as 'Aker Kvaerner', will supply products, services, technology and solutions worth NOK 20 billion a year to the global oil and gas industry. Aker Kvaerner is the result of a merger between Aker Maritime and Kvaerner Oil & Gas, and forms one of four business areas within the Kvaerner Group. Subsidiaries of Aker Kvaerner have already won contracts totalling NOK 15.5 billion since the start of 2002, almost doubling the Group's order backlog in just over two months.
