Seafarer Exploration Discovers Colonial-era Shipwreck Material Off Florida

Subsea salvage and exploration company Seafarer Exploration Corp. said Thursday it had discovered a large concentration of colonial-era shipwreck material in Area 2 off Melbourne Beach, Florida. "The historic period shipwreck material comprises a variety of artifacts situated within a concentrated area and includes standing rigging, ships fittings, rope and wood fragments," Seafarer Exploration said.According to the company, the historic artifact area is still under investigation…

Treasure Hunters, Seafarer, Gets Florida Operations Extensions

Seafarer Exploration Corp. has been granted a two-year extension to the environmental permit for the Juno Beach site to December 9, 2015. Kyle Kennedy (Seafarer CEO) said: " We continue to see progress on the Juno Beach project. We have located some interesting artifacts which may further help to determine the time frame of this potentially sizable colonial era shipwreck. Mr. Kennedy continued, "We are also in the process of completing an archaeological Research Design to be submitted to the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research in order to eventually receive our third permit.

Shipwreck Salvors, Seafarer, Get New Work Permit

New permit is an important step in the excavation process by Seafarer Exploration Corp. of an historic shipwreck site located off Lantana Beach Florida. The permit was issued pursuant to Part IV of Chapter 373, Florida Statutes and Title 62, Florida Administrative Code from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and represents an important step in Seafarer's quest to excavate this exciting shipwreck site. Seafarer received a permit from the State of Florida for a shipwreck site located off of Lantana Beach, Florida in 2012.

Academic Treasure Hunters Gain Third Site

Seafarer Exploration Corp has finalized an agreement with Heartland Treasure Quest LLC (HTQ) for a third treasure site. The company is focused on the archaeologically-sensitive exploration, documentation and recovery of historic shipwrecks with an emphasis on recovering treasure and understanding and documenting historical events surrounding shipwrecks. HTQ has surveyed, explored, and researched the site and historical archives for over a decade. Seafarer will now start the application process for another salvage permit. Kyle Kennedy , CEO of Seafarer, stated, "We are continuing our plans of expansion to build shareholder value and increase our probabilities of success.
