International Seaways Signs Refi Deal

New York-headquartered product tanker company International Seaways has closed on senior secured credit facilities worth a total of USD 390 million.The crude oil and petroleum product tanker company said that the facilities consists of a 5-year USD 300 million senior secured term loan facility, a 5-year USD 40 million revolving credit facility, of which USD 20 million has been drawn, and a 2.5-year USD 50 million senior secured term loan credit facility.The NYSE-listed ship owner and operator said that the proceeds from the loans were used to refinance USD 385 million existing high-cost secured and unsecured debt of the company and its subsidiaries.Jeffrey Pribor…

Odfjell Drilling buys “Deepsea Nordkapp”

Odfjell Drilling announced that Aker BP has today awarded Odfjell Drilling a 2 year firm drilling contract with 1+1 year optional periods. The day rates for the drilling contract will be based on market terms to be determined prior to commencement of drilling operations. In addition to the market linked day rate, a performance bonus as agreed in the alliance agreement with Aker BP, as announced on 21 November 2017, will apply. Capital Product Partners Sings Pact for $460 Mln Refinancing

Capital Product Partners  entered into a firm offer letter for a senior secured term loan facility of up to $460.0 million with HSH Nordbank AG and ING Bank as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners and BNP Paribas and National Bank of Greece S.A. as arrangers. The lenders also include Alpha Bank S.A., Piraeus Bank S.A. and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (Publ). The closing of the credit facility is subject to finalization of the long form loan documentation. "We intend to use the net proceeds of the loans under the New Facility, together with available cash of approximately $120.6 million, to refinance, four out of five of our existing credit facilities amounting to $580.6 million in total," says a statement from the company.

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard Finalizes $60M Loan

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard ASA informed that its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, Inc. (APSI), has executed definitive documentation with PIDC Regional Center, LP XXXI for a secured term loan of up to USD 60 million. The loan has a five-year term and a fixed interest rate of 2.75% through maturity. The loan is secured by a lien on the company's interests in Hulls 021-024, which are the four product tankers to be included in the AKPS-Crowley joint venture. The company made its first draw under the facility on the closing date. The loan is made through the Welcome Fund (EB-5) loan program, a source of low-interest senior financing for large-scale, job-creating projects undertaken by strong governmental, corporate or institutional sponsors.

AKPS, Crowley JV Secures $ 325 mi Commitment

The joint venture between Aker Philadelphia Shipyard ASA (AKPS) and Crowley has received a firm and fully underwritten commitment from a group of banks and other financial institutions for a USD 325 million senior secured term loan facility. According to AKPS this facility will be used for post-delivery financing of the four product tankers to be included in the AKPS-Crowley joint venture (Hulls 021-024). This commitment is subject to the execution and delivery of definitive documentation and satisfaction of customary conditions precedent.   This information is subject to the disclosure requirements pursuant to section 5-12 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.

Star Bulk Takes Delivery of New Bulker, Secures New Credit Line

Star Bulk Takes Delivery of Its Second Ultramax Bulk Carrier, Star Fighter and Reaches Agreement for a New Credit Facility. Star Bulk Carriers Corporation, a global shipping company focusing on the transportation of dry bulk cargoes, announced that it has taken delivery of M/V Star Fighter (the "vessel" -- formerly "Supra Challenger II"), an Ultramax bulk carrier of 61,462 deadweight tons carrying capacity, built in Japan by Imabari Shipbuilding Group in September of 2013. Pursuant to the Company's flexible commercial strategy, the vessel has been employed on a short-term time charter for a period of minimum 4 months up to maximum 6 months, at a gross hire rate of $13,400 per day.

Dryships Announces $1.8B Term Loan Facility

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ: DRYS) through its majority owned subsidiary, Ocean Rig UDW Inc., announced that Ocean Rig, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Drillships Financing Holding Inc. (“DFHI”), and Dr illships Projects Inc., entered into a $1.8 billion senior secured term loan facility, comprised of tranche B-1 term loans in an aggregate principal amount equal to $975.0 million (“Tranche B-1 Term Loans”) and tranche B-2 term loans in an aggregate principal amount equal to $825.0 million (“Tranche B-2 Term Loans” and, together with the Tranche B-1 Term Loans, the “Term Loans”), with respective maturity dates in the first quarter of 2021, subject to adjustment to the third quarter of 2020 in certain circumstances, and the third quarter of 2016.

Deepwater Driller Ocean Rig 2012 Financial Reports

Ocean Rig UDW Inc international contractor of offshore deepwater drilling services reports unaudited losses in Q4 & year-end 2912 financial results. For the year ended 2012, the Company reported a net loss of $132.3 million, or $1.00 basic and diluted loss per share. â—¦    Costs associated with the 10-year class survey for the Eirik Raude of $65.5 million, or $0.50 per share. Excluding the above items, the Company's net results would have amounted to a net loss of $66.8 million, or $0.50 per share. •    The Company reported Adjusted EBITDA of $354.4 million for the year ended 2012, as compared to $387.9 million for the year ended 2011.

DryShips to Amend Financing Package

Scorpio Tankers $150M Credit Facility, Form F-3

Scorpio Tankers Inc. (NYSE: STNG) ("Scorpio Tankers" or the "Company") announced today that the Company executed a credit facility with Nordea Bank Finland plc, acting through its New York branch, DnB NOR Bank ASA, acting through its New York branch, and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. for a senior secured term loan facility of up to $150 million and filed a shelf registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The 2011 Credit Facility will be used to finance 50% of the two 2008 built 51,000 DWT product tankers that the Company agreed to acquire last week. The aggregate purchase price for the vessels is $70.0 million. The vessels are charter free and are scheduled to be delivered to the Company in the first half of May 2011.

Genco Takes Delivery of Two Supramax Vessels

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) announced that it has taken delivery of the Genco Pyrenees, a 2010-built Supramax vessel, and the Genco Normandy, a 2007-built Supramax vessel. The Genco Pyrenees and the Genco Normandy are the third and fourth vessels, respectively, to be delivered to the Company under Genco's agreement previously announced on June 25, 2010 to acquire 13 Supramax vessels from Setaf SAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bourbon SA. The Genco Pyrenees is expected to be delivered to its charterer, Setaf Saget SAS, on or about August 12, 2010 to commence a time charter for 11 to 13.5 months at a rate of $19,000 per day, less a 3.75% third-party brokerage commission.

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) reported its financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2010. Genco Takes Delivery of Supramax Vessel

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) has taken delivery of the Genco Lorraine, a 2009-built Supramax vessel. The Genco Lorraine is the first of 13 vessels to be delivered to the company under Genco's agreement previously announced on June 25, 2010 to acquire 13 Supramax vessels from Setaf SAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bourbon SA. The company also announced that it has reached an agreement to enter into a time charter for the Genco Lorraine with Olam International Limited for 23 to 25 months at a rate of $18,500 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The time charter for the Genco Lorraine is expected to commence on or about July 31, 2010 and is subject to the completion of definitive documentation.

Britannia Bulk Holdings Announces Public Offering

Britannia Bulk Holdings announced that its initial public offering of 8,333,333 shares of common stock was priced at $15.00 per share to the public. To the extent the underwriters sell more than the 8,333,333 shares of common stock, the underwriters have the option to purchase up to an additional 1,250,000 shares from the Company. All stock sold in the offering will be issued by the Company. Assuming no exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares of common stock, the net proceeds to the company will be approximately $112.8 million. Completion of the offering is expected to occur on June 23, 2008, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Trico Marine Services Receives Going Concern Opinion

Trico Marine Services, Inc. announced that the Company's independent registered public accounting firm reissued its report on the Company's financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2003 with a going concern explanatory paragraph in the Company's amendment to its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2003. The Company originally filed its 2003 Form 10-K on March 15, 2004 and filed the Form 10-K amendment on August 9, 2004 in order to respond to comments received from the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the classification of indebtedness under the Company's Norwegian revolving credit facility. Due to the Company's 10-K amendment, the Company's independent registered public accounting firm was required to reissue its 2003 audit report.

Superior Offshore Shares Plunge

Shares of Superior Offshore International Inc., plunged after the company delayed filing its third-quarter financial statement. Superior Offshore shares dropped 77 cents, or 9 percent, to close at $7.83, after plunging 24 percent to $6.56 earlier in the session. The stock has dropped more than 40 percent since its initial public offering priced at $15 in April. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Superior Offshore said the third-quarter filing was delayed as the company determines whether it is required to reclassify long-term debt as current debt. Superior Offshore said the reclassification may be necessary under the terms of a waiver from a lender related to defaults on the company's senior secured term loan facility.

Hercules Offshore to Acquire TODCO for $2.3 B

Hercules Offshore, Inc. entered into a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Hercules Offshore will acquire 100% of the outstanding stock of TODCO in a stock and cash transaction valued at approximately $2.3 billion. The combined company will operate a fleet of 33 jackup rigs, 27 barge rigs, 64 liftboats, three submersible rigs, nine land rigs and one platform rig and have operations in ten different countries on five continents. The boards of directors of Hercules Offshore and TODCO unanimously approved the transaction. Closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, as well as both Hercules Offshore and TODCO shareholder approval.

Horizon Offshore Completes Refinancing

Horizon Offshore, Inc. has entered into a $77.4 million secured term facility agented by The CIT Group/Equipment Financing, Inc. The credit facility has a five year term and bears interest at LIBOR plus 4.5% per annum. The credit facility is payable in monthly installments of $0.9 million, plus interest, for the first 24 months beginning March 31, 2006 and $0.6 million, plus interest, for the next 35 months, with the remaining principal and unpaid interest due at maturity in March 2011. The proceeds from the facility were used to repay the outstanding amount under the Company's previous CIT Group facility maturing in March 2006 and outstanding amount under the $70 million senior secured term loan facility agented by Manchester Securities Corp.
