Bruun Takes the Helm at KVH Industries

KVH Industries, Inc., announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brent C. Bruun as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board. The Board also appointed two seasoned industry executives, David Kagan and David Tolley, as directors of KVH.Bruun first joined KVH in 2008 and has served as KVH’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since March 2022. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of KVH beginning in 2016, as well as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

KVH Promotes Bruun to COO

KVH Industries has  announced  that Brent Bruun, currently executive vice president of mobile broadband for the company, has been promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO). In this position, Bruun will assume direct responsibility for KVH’s corporate development, as well as operational responsibility for mobile communications products and services for maritime and land markets. His purview as COO covers the customer lifecycle from sales and manufacturing through customer onboarding and on into long-term services, support, and customer retention.

Inmarsat Makes North American Team Appointments

Inmarsat (LSE: ISAT) today announced two new appointments to its North American teams. David Helfgott becomes President of Inmarsat, Inc and Head of Business Development, Americas and Peter Hadinger joins Inmarsat Global Xpress™ as President of Inmarsat Government Services Inc (IGSI). Both will be based at Inmarsat's Washington DC office. David Helfgott will be responsible for external representation of Inmarsat Inc, and will head strategy and business development in the Americas.

KVH mini-VSAT Broadband Service

As part of its global network expansion plan, KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) announced that it has taken operational responsibility of the mini-VSAT Broadband service network supporting North America and the Caribbean. These regions were previously managed under a revenue sharing agreement with SES Americom. This arrangement has been terminated in favor of a leasing agreement with SES Americom for bandwidth on its AMC-21 and AMC-6 satellites. KVH also purchased the Miami satellite network hub that supports the Caribbean region from SES Americom. In addition, the company has applied for operating licenses in KVH’s name and has already been granted Special Temporary Authority by the FCC to continue operation of the mini-VSAT Broadband service in these areas without interruption.
