New Tug Built for Port of Shanghai

China's Sanlin Shipyard has built and delivered a new harbor tug for the Port of Shanghai.The Robert Allan Ltd.-designed workboat Hai Gang 501 will be used by Shanghai Harbor Fuxing Shipping Service Company for berthing and unberthing in harbor as well as coastal towing services and firefighting duties in China’s busiest port.The 498 gt  tug is 32 meters long with a 12-meter molded beam and 5.29-meter maximum draft. New Pilot/Tugboat for Tianjin Port

Early in 2015, Tianjin Port in the north part of China took delivery of a new ASD 38/60 Class pilot/tugboat, Jin Gang Lun 35, from the builder Shanghai Harbor Fuxing Shipping Service Company, after the delivery of two ASD 35/80 class tugs from the same shipyard in 2013. All three vessels were designed specifically for the Tianjin Port Authority by Robert Allan Ltd., naval architects of Vancouver, Canada. RAmparts Tugs Delivered in China

The first of a new series of the RAmparts 3500 Class ASD tug design was delivered to its Owners Tianjin Port, a port in the northern part of China. The vessel was constructed at Shanghai Harbor Fuxing Shipping Service Company, and was named Jin Gang Lun 26.A sister vessel is under construction at the same shipyard. The hull of the new 35 meter design has been developed from the very successful 32 meter Ramparts design series, of which more than 100 tugs have been built in the past decade.
