Wrist Expands Despite Tough 2018

KOTC, GAC Fujairah in Husbandry Contract

GAC Fujairah has been awarded a husbandry contract by the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) to provide ship supply services, spare parts handling and a range of other logistical services to its vessels arriving in Fujairah, Khor Fakkan and Singapore anchorage. As part of global shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC Group, GAC Fujairah worked in close cooperation with the Middle East Regional Office in Dubai and GAC Singapore to secure the deal. Under the contract, the GAC team is set to handle approximately 450 jobs a year, a figure which is likely to grow as the KOTC fleet expands. This is the third time GAC Fujairah is appointed by KOTC to provide husbandry services to its vessels.

Supreme Group Acquires EMS Seven Seas

Supply chain solutions provider in challenging environments, Supreme Group (Supreme), says it has completed its purchase of EMS Seven Seas ASA. Headquartered in Norway and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, EMS Seven Seas is a global maritime services group serving merchant marine, offshore and defense customers. The company supplies general ship supplies, provisions, stores, spare parts and leading technical maritime brands through its extensive network of some 600 ports. Supreme now owns 90.04% of the total outstanding shares in EMS and says it will make a mandatory offer to the remaining shareholders in the company in due course.

Wrist Ship Supply Reports 30% U.S. Growth

Wrist Ship Supply has announced growth of more than 30% in its North American-based operation, in what it describes as a milestone for ship supply in the United States. The growth follows Wrist’s acquisition of World Ship Supply, West Coast Ship Supply, East Coast Ship Supply and Karlo Corporation – collectively known as One Source North America – in 2010.
