Northrop Grumman Awarded US$88-Million Navy Contract

According to the US Department of Defense, Navy, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Charlottesville, Va., is being awarded an $88,153,800 contract to acquire integrated bridge systems and steering/ship control systems, related hardware and associated services. DoD explains that the systems are comprised of chart servers, network interface boxes, flat panel displays, radar systems, navigation software, ship control software, global positioning systems, weather sensors, depth sensors, speed sensors, digital compass systems, ship control display systems and sonar systems. These items represent a modernization upgrade from existing systems currently in use.

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. has been awarded a contract modification for NRMD tasks in support of operational nuclear submarines. Secondly, York International has been awarded a contract for shipboard air-conditioning & refrigeration system work. General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn. The company is being awarded a $36,137,340 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-13-C-4311) to provide a Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD).

Amongst the latest Department of Defense contracts is a Navy contract for Maritime International Inc. to supply mooring equipment, and a US Army Corps of Engineers maintenance dredging contract for Manson Construction. Amongst the latest contracts Department of Defense, Navy, contracts are those to Armstrong Marine, for barges and ship paintwork maintenance; to  3PSC for operation & maintenance of naval survey ships; and to NASSCO for repairs & alterations to 'USS Kauffman' (FFG 59). Armstrong Marine Inc., Port Angeles, Wash., is being awarded a $38,362,181 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of marine paint and maintenance barges and associated installation, support, shipping and travel.

Amee Bay, LLC, Anchorage, Ala., is being awarded a $12,387,339 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the acquisition of engineering services, planning and scheduling, installation services and other support needed to accomplish equipment alterations/modifications shipboard. New Navy Contracts

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $151,577,441 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-5431) to procure 186 Evolved SEASPARROW Missiles (ESSM), 77 shipping containers, and spares for the NATO SEASPARROW Consortium and the United Arab Emirates. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., (45 percent); Camden, Ark., (2 percent); Andover, Mass,. (10 percent), Australia, (11 percent), Canada, (7 percent), Denmark, (1 percent), Greece, (1 percent), Germany, (8 percent), The Netherlands, (6 percent); Norway, (5 percent); Spain, (3 percent); and Turkey, (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by August 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

New Navy Contract

General Dynamics Information Technology, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded an estimated $10,906,614 modification to previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee multiple award contract (N65540-02-D-0041) for engineering and technical services for alteration installations, engineering research, design, computer programming and logistics on hull, mechanical, electrical and electronics systems onboard U.S. Navy ships. Work will be performed principally at fleet concentration areas including but not limited to Norfolk, Va., (25 percent); San Diego, Calif., (15 percent); Mayport, Fla., (55 percent); Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, (3 percent); and Yokosuka/Sasebo, Japan, (2 percent); and is expected to be completed by Mar. 2010.

L3 Awarded $11.3m Contract

York International Awarded $22m Contract

York International Corp., is being awarded a $22.m contract for the acquisition of an estimated quantity of 20, 300-ton air conditioning plant duplex conversion kits required to increase the cooling capacity of York air conditioning plants installed in Los Angeles-class (SSN-688) submarines. The contract also calls for the furnishing of auxiliary component kits, installation and checkout spares kits and associated technical documentation. Work will be performed in York, Pa., and is expected to be completed by November 2011. This contract was not competitively procured.
