Viking Supply Ships Takes Delivery of Andreas Viking AHTS

Swedish offshore vessel owner Viking Supply Ships has taken delivery of the Andreas Viking AHTS, previously known as the Far Senator.In March 2023, Viking Supply Ships said it would take two Ocean Yield-owned AHTS vessels, Far Senator and Normand Statesman, on bareboat charters for a period of five years, with purchase options during the charter period, and an obligation to purchase the vessels at the end of the charter period if requested by Ocean Yield AS. Wilhelmsen Acquires Tank and Cargo Hold Cleaning Firm Navadan

Wilhelmsen Ships Service announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire tank and cargo hold cleaning company Navadan.Wilhelmsen Ships Service will take 100% control of Navadan, which will retain its brand and operate as a fully owned subsidiary for the first period after the completion of the agreement. Completion of the transaction is subject to predetermined conditions and is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2023.“Navadan have built a strong position as experts within their field.

Wilhelmsen Delivers 3D Printed Parts to Berge Bulk

Norway-based global maritime industry group Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA  announced that Berge Mafadi, a Berge Bulk vessel has received the world’s first commercial delivery of 3d printed scupper plugs, as part of Wilhelmsen’s Early Adopter Program.According to a press release, the program, where customers have exclusive access to on-demand additive manufacturing was launched by Wilhelmsen’s Marine Products division in December 2019. Digi Boiler Gets DNV GL AIP

Norway-based global maritime industry group Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA said that DNV GL has granted an “Approval in Principle” (AIP) and currently working together towards a full type approval for the smart boiler water dosing system.Wilhelmsen also plans to qualify as an approved service supplier (AoSS) as part of the class society’s unique boiler monitoring (BMON) programme.Minimizing the risks associated with poor boiler water management, Wilhelmsen’s system monitors boiler water condition, dosing chemicals as and when they are needed. Wilhelmsen, Ivaldi Group Pact for 3D Printing of Marine Parts

Wilhelmsen has partnered with Ivaldi Group to deploy an additive manufacturing facility in the Wilhelmsen Ships Service’ facilities in Singapore. Singapore, Wilhelmsen Ships Service Pact for Maritime Drone

WSS Rolls Out New Cargo Hold Cleaning Equipment

Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) will launch its new line of cargo hold cleaning equipment at maritime exhibition INMEX India. The new high pressure lance and add-on heating system are tailor made for cleaning difficult to reach areas of the hold, enabling crews to get the right cleaning results, irrespective of where stains are located, without scaffolding, ladders and specialist-cleaning crews. Dubbed Anaconda, because of its impressive size and power, the high pressure lance measures over 20 meters and the attached hose 25 meters.

Wilhelmsen Acquires Drew Marine Technical Solutions

The Wilhelmsen group has signed an agreement to acquire the technical solutions business from Drew Marine. “This acquisition offers a unique opportunity to enhance the scale and geographic reach of our marine products division,” said Wilhelmsen group CEO, Thomas Wilhelmsen. The acquired business will be brought into Wilhelmsen Ships Service. As part of the transaction, the business, people and competence in Drew Marine Technical Solutions will be transferred to Wilhelmsen. Approximately 400 Drew Marine employees will join Wilhelmsen Ships Service upon completion of the transaction.

Why Is Fuel Testing Important?
