First Metrans Vectron Released

Rail freight operator Metrans received the first Vectron multi-system locomotive at its container terminal in Prague.The vehicle is part of an order of ten multi-system locomotives. They are being manufactured in the Siemens Mobility factory in Munich-Allach and will be delivered in full by spring 2020.Metrans will deploy the new Vectron locomotives in transnational freight traffic across Central and Eastern Europe.“We are very happy to have received the first of ten Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility at our location in Prague. The expansion of our locomotive fleet to nearly 100 vehicles highlights our commitment to grow with the transport flows of the future.

AWT Adds Three New Vectrons

Czech freight transport operator Advanced World Transport (AWT),  a member of PKP CARGO Group, which is a leading logistics operator in Europe, on 1st July 2019 took over three new multisystem Vectron A17 locomotives from Siemens Mobility in Velim.AWT is complementing fleet of eight multi-system locomotives, which will be used for shipments across Europe and help to implement the PKP CARGO Group development strategy.The AWT Group currently runs a total of seven multisystem locomotives, which are used mainly for international transport, three Siemens ES64U4, three Siemens ES64F4 and from the beginning of last year two Bombardier Traxx…

HHLA Strengthens Intermodal Network

Metrans AS, a subsidiary of terminal operator Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), has ordered ten Vectron MS locomotives from Siemens Mobility Czech Republic.The locomotives will be built at Siemens Mobility’s factory in Munich-Allach, and deliveries are scheduled from the end of 2019 until spring 2020. The locomotives will be operated in cross-border freight service in Central and Eastern European countries."It is our pleasure to expand the Metrans vehicle fleet by ten multisystem Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility. Siemens to Bring eHighway Demonstration to California

Contract signed with South Coast Air Quality Management District inCalifornia to install and demonstrate Siemens eHighway system near Portsof Los Angeles and Long Beach.
