Klaveness Combination Carriers to List in Oslo

Norway's Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) has raised 350 million Norwegian crowns in a private share placement, valuing the shipping firm at 2.27 billion crowns ($259.57 million) ahead of an Oslo stock market listing on May 22.Following the successful private placement, KCC has declared two options for the construction of the seventh and eight CLEANBU combination carrier with Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd in China.The two newbuilds are scheduled for delivery in January and February 2021. Swedish Bank to Finance Star Bulk

Swedish financial group Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (SEB) is providing US$71.42m term facility to Star Bulk Carriers for the refinancing of two Newcastlemax-size bulk carriers. Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) is the advisor for the deal.The London based international law firm said that the deal also involved partly financing the prospective capital expense for the retrofitting of the ships with scrubbers, ahead of the entry into force of the 2020 IMO regulations.The two ships were part of a portfolio of 16 vessels acquired from Augustea Atlantica SpA and York Capital Management in an all-share transaction concluded in May 2018, on…

Eagle Bulk Shipping Avails Loan Secured by 21 Vessels

American shipowner Eagle Bulk Shipping  has announced that Eagle Bulk Ultraco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has closed on a new five-year senior secured facility  totaling USD 208.4 million, maturing in 2024. Eagle Bulk Gets $208M Credit Facility

Connecticut-headquartered Eagle Bulk Shipping said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Eagle Bulk Ultraco has received a loan commitment from a consortium of banks for a new five year senior secured facility totaling approximately $208 million.According to the company, the Facility will include a term loan equating to approximately $153 million and a revolving credit facility of $55 million, and will be used to refinance the existing debt of Eagle Bulk Ultraco LLC and Eagle Shipping, as well as for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures relating to the installation of exhaust gas cleaning systems, or scrubbers.Upon the closing of the transaction and the repayment in full of the Refinanced Debt…

Verus Petroleum Mulls 12-Fold Production Growth

Aberdeen, UK-based Verus Petroleum has secured a 12-fold increase in its production – from 1,500 to 18,000 barrels per day in less than a year – with the closing of three recent acquisitions on the UK Continental Shelf.A press release from the petroleum exploration and production services provider said that it  has recently completed three significant acquisitions; an interest in the Babbage gas field acquired from Premier Oil on 6th December, on the back of completing transactions to acquire Cieco Exploration & Production (UK) Limited and Equinor’s Alba field interest in November.The private equity backed independent operator said that these three deals, each with an economic date of 1st January 2018, were funded by a combination of equity, existing cash reserves and debt.

Scorpio Bulkers Gets New Build Financing form Nordic Banks

Scorpio Tankers Ties-up for Debt Refinancing

Scorpio Tankers announced that, following from the announcement of new financing initiatives on April 25, 2018, the Company has received commitments from four leading European financial institutions for three separate loan facilities of up to $195.9 million in aggregate. It will raise $53.9 million of new liquidity in aggregate after the repayment of $142.0 million of existing secured debt. The Company expects to make announcements for further individual transactions in the coming weeks. The Company has received a commitment from ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB for a loan facility of up to $120.6 million. The loan facility will be used to finance up to 65% of the fair market value of one Handymax product tanker, one MR product tanker and three LR2 product tankers.

NAT Announces Public Offering of USD 100mln

Nordic American Tankers (NAT) announced an underwritten public offering of $100 million of its common shares pursuant to the Company’s effective shelf registration statement. At the Company’s request, the underwriters have reserved for sale an aggregate of approximately $1.2 million of its common shares for certain members of the Company’s board of directors, management and advisors, which includes approximately $1.0 million to be purchased by the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and his immediate family. The Company also intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the offering. On December 1, 2017 NAT established a sale/leaseback arrangement for the three newbuilds to be delivered in 2018.

Scorpio Bulkers Lines Up New Loan Facility

Scorpio Bulkers announced that the Company has received a commitment for a loan facility of up to $85.5 million from Nordea Bank AB (publ), New York Branch, and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB. The loan facility will be used to finance up to 60% of the market value of the six Ultramax vessels the Company has recently agreed to acquire. The loan facility has a final maturity date of February 15, 2023 and bears interest at LIBOR plus a margin of 2.85% per annum. The terms and conditions are similar to those set forth in the Company's existing credit facilities. The loan facility is subject to customary conditions precedent and the execution of definitive documentation. Scorpio Bulkers is a provider of marine transportation of dry bulk commodities.

Capital Product Partners Sings Pact for $460 Mln Refinancing

Capital Product Partners  entered into a firm offer letter for a senior secured term loan facility of up to $460.0 million with HSH Nordbank AG and ING Bank as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners and BNP Paribas and National Bank of Greece S.A. as arrangers. The lenders also include Alpha Bank S.A., Piraeus Bank S.A. and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (Publ). The closing of the credit facility is subject to finalization of the long form loan documentation. "We intend to use the net proceeds of the loans under the New Facility, together with available cash of approximately $120.6 million, to refinance, four out of five of our existing credit facilities amounting to $580.6 million in total," says a statement from the company.

Public Offering Fetches $47.7mln for Nordic American

Nordic American Offshore (NAO) has closed the follow-on offering of 40,000,000 common shares at a public offering price of $1.25 per share resulting in aggregate net proceeds of approximately $47.7 million. The proceeds could be slightly in excess of $50 million, provided the over-allotment option is wholly or partly exercised (maximum about $7 million). Following the offering, the Company has 60,686,847 common shares outstanding as against 20,686,847 shares before the offering. Euronav Gets Credit Line of $ 410mln

Euronav NV announces has signed a new USD 410 million senior secured amortizing revolving credit facility. The facility has been made available on 16 December 2016 for the purpose of refinancing 11 vessels as well as Euronav’s general corporate and working capital purposes. The credit facility was used to refinance the USD 500 million senior secured credit facility dated 25 March 2014 and will mature on 31 January 2023 carrying a rate of LIBOR plus a margin of 2.25%. Scorpio Tankers Inc. announced that it has received a commitment for a loan facility up to $300 million from ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Nordea Bank Finland plc, acting through its New York branch, and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB. The loan facility will be used to refinance the existing indebtedness on 16 MR product tankers, has a final maturity of five years from the first drawdown date and bears interest at LIBOR plus a margin of 2.5 percent per annum. Scorpio Tankers Increase Q1 2014 Dividend

Scorpio Tankers Inc. has reported its results for the 3 months ended March 31, 2014 including the announcement of a US$100-Million stock buyback program and a quarterly dividend for shareholders. Closed on the previously announced sales agreement of seven VLCCs under construction for a gain of $51.4 million. Took delivery of three MR tankers under the Company's Newbuilding Program, STI Texas City, in March 2014, and STI Opera and STI Duchessa, in January 2014. Ardmore Shipping Secures Newbuilding Finance

Ardmore Shipping Corporation says it has signed agreements to upsize its existing senior loan facility with ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Nordea Bank Finland Plc, and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB ("SEB"). The total amount available under the facility has been increased by $53 million to $225 million. Ardmore explain that the proceeds from the expanded facility will be used to finance up to 65% of the purchase price of three recent vessel acquisitions. The facility will be an amortizing senior term loan with final maturity in early 2021. The covenants and other conditions are consistent with the original facility. "Furthermore, we are in late-stage discussions with a leading shipping bank on a credit facility for the Ardmore Seamariner and expect to finalize this agreement in the near term.

Euronav Acquires $ 750 mi Facility

The Executive Committee of Euronav NV today announced that it has signed a new USD 750 million senior secured amortizing revolving credit facility led by DNB Bank ASA and Nordea Bank Norge ASA acting as Coordinators, Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners and ABN AMRO Bank NV, ING Bank NV and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) (SEB) acting as Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank acting as Lead Arranger whilst KBC Bank NV, Scotiabank Europe plc and Société Générale acting as Co-Arrangers. The additional lenders are Belfius Bank SA/NV and HSBC Bank plc. Nordea is also the facility agent.

Euronav Announces IPO in the US

Euronav NV announced the commencement of its underwritten initial public offering in the United States of 13,550,000 ordinary shares. The company will grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional ordinary shares representing up to 15% of the offered shares. On January 19, 2015 the closing price of the company’s ordinary shares on Euronext Brussels was $12.94 per share (based upon the Bloomberg Composite Rate of EUR 0.8604 per $1.00 USD in effect on that date). The company has been approved to list its ordinary shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol EURN.

Euronav NV IPO in the US

Euronav NV announced today the upsizing and pricing of its initial public offering in the United States. The size of the offering has been increased from the initially announced 13,550,000 ordinary shares to 16,260,000 ordinary shares at an issue price per share of USD 12.25 for gross base proceeds of USD 199,185,000. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,439,000 ordinary shares. The Company’s ordinary shares offered in the United States are expected to commence trading on the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”) today under the ticker symbol “EURN.”  This offering is expected to close on January 28, 2015, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
