Vision of The Fjords, a futuristic carbon fiber tourist vessel operated by The Fjords DA, has won the Ship of the Year 2016 accolade at SMM in Hamburg. The 40-meter-long, 399-passenger-capacity hybrid craft, which was completed by Brødrene Aa this summer, scooped the award for its unique approach to sustainable, sensitive and high quality operations in the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Nærøyfjord. Rolls-Royce wins a prestigious 'Ship of the Year' industry award for its new wave-piercing ship design for PSV 'Far Solitaire'. The turbine installation vessel ‘Windlifter’, developed by Ulstein Idea Equipment Solutions and Ulstein Sea of Solutions, is suitable for single lift installations. Wärtsilä Service Agreement with Eidesvik

Wärtsilä, the marine industry's leading ship power solution provider, has signed a long term service agreement with Eidesvik Offshore, Norway, for the supply of maintenance services for the seismic vessel Oceanic Vega. The service agreement is expected to considerably reduce maintenance costs for the owner, while providing uninterrupted availability and high levels of reliability. The agreement, which was signed at this year's ONS exhibition in Stavanger, Norway on 24 August, is for five years, with an option for an additional five years.
