India's First FSRU Based LNG Terminal Launched

H-Energy Gateway, the energy venture of Hiranandani Group, launched India’s first Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) based LNG terminal at JSW Jaigarh Port in Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra. The Jaigarh Port is owned & operated by JSW Infrastructure (the maritime infrastructure development arm of $ 12 billion JSW Group). The LNG terminal was inaugurated today, by the Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. H-Energy’s LNG Terminal has an annual capacity of 4 MMTPA and is scheduled for commercial operations by Q4 2018 and will be capable of reloading LNG into other vessels. The launch of India’s first FSRU based LNG terminal marks a new era of opportunities to drive the development of port based industries and social infrastructure in India.

MHI to Transfer Ownership Stake to MEG

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) yesterday concluded an agreement with Miyaji Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) whereby, effective April 1, 2015, MHI will transfer a 51% ownership stake in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Bridge & Steel Structures Engineering Co., Ltd. (MBE), a group company, to MEG. Simultaneously, a shareholders agreement was also concluded between MHI and MEG. The Japanese market for social infrastructure is currently very robust, with strong demand in widespread evidence for projects to spur recovery in regions affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, for upgrades to the nation's rapidly aging infrastructure, for new expressways and Shinkansen (bullet train) lines, and for facilities of various kinds in the runup to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Power of Siberia construction launched

Yakutsk hosted today celebrations dedicated to welding the first joint of the Power of Siberia gas transmission system (GTS) meant to be a crucial element of the gas supply system being built in eastern Russia. The GTS will convey gas from the Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers to the Far East and China. The attendance was comprised of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zhang Gaoli, First Vice Premier of China's State Council, Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Wang Dongjin, Vice President of China National Petroleum Corporation and Yegor Borisov, Acting Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Mundra SEZ of Adani's gets Environmental Clearance

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), India’s largest port developer and part of the Adani Group, today said it had received the environment and coastal regulation zone clearance from the Union Ministry for Environment and Forests, for its 8,481 hectares special economic zone in Mundra. The clearance will now allow APSEZ, which operates India’s only port-based SEZ, to set up a mega desalination plant, an effluent treatment plant and intake of sea water, all of which constitute primary infrastructure to be provided for companies setting up business units in the special economic zone. The Special Economic Zones are locations carved out from within the country, which are treated as deemed foreign territories from perspective of several economic laws.

MHI Consolidating and Reorganizing

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. has determined to shift to a new business structure by consolidating and reorganizing its current nine business segments into just four business domains: "Energy & Environment," "Commercial Aviation & Transportation Systems," "Integrated Defense & Space Systems" and "Machinery, Equipment & Systems." The reorganization initiative is intended to leverage commonly shared customers, markets, core technologies and business strategies. Russia to Set Up Northern Sea Route Naval Infrastructure

Russia will create several hubs along the Northern Sea Route to enforce security in the region. The Northern Sea Route stretches along Russia’s Arctic coast from Murmansk on the Barents Sea to the Bering Strait in the Far East.
