Gagarin Prospect Wins Award

Gagarin Prospect, an LNG-fuelled Aframax crude oil tanker owned and operated by Sovcomflot (SCF Group), has won Next Generation Ship Award 2019, which was announced at Nor-Shipping 2019.President & CEO of Sovcomflot Sergey Frank has received the award from Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Torbjørn Røe Isaksen in the presence of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.With a focus on innovation, the Next Generation Ship Award honors the most promising design for ships that will be at sea in the coming decade, according to Nor-Shipping.Gagarin Prospect is the lead ship in the ‘Green Funnel’ series of 114,000-dwt Aframax crude oil tankers designed to use LNG as a primary fuel.Switching to a cleaner-burning fuel enables to significantly reduce vessel emissions…

SCF's Profit Zoom Fourfold

SCF Group (PAO Sovcomflot) reported steep jump in their net profit to USD 354.5 million from USD 83.9 million in the earlier year. Its gross revenue increased by 7.6 per cent to USD 1,483 million (2014: USD 1,378 million) and its time charter equivalent revenue rose by 18.8 per cent to USD 1,240.1 million (2014: USD 1,044.0 million). The company said that its total future contracted revenues amounted to USD 8.5 billion. During the year LNG carriers SCF Melampus and SCF Mitre (each 170,200 m3 capacity) were delivered and commenced long-term time charters to Royal Dutch Shell. Rosneft President Meets DSME's CEO On Shipbuilding Cluster

On 15th of June, 2014 Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin held talks with CEO of DSME Jae-ho Ko on establishment of a shipbuilding cluster. The event was also participated by Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC Gazprombank Andrey Akimov, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sovcomflot Sergey Frank, President of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation Alexey Rakhmanov and Chairman of the Management Committee of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson. The parties discussed the progress of the project on establishment of a shipbuilding cluster in the Far East of Russia implementation. In particular, the proposal of Rosneft to form a single site for all shipbuilding contracts of Russian customers on the basis of OJSC Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding.
