Aker Solutions Wins Offshore Mexico Order

Aker Solutions won its first order for a project offshore Mexico as it secured a contract from Saipem to supply umbilicals for the Pemex-operated Lakach deepwater natural-gas field. Aker Solutions will deliver electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals of about 73 kilometers (45 miles) that will help connect Mexico's first subsea gas development to onshore processing facilities. The field is located about 98 kilometres (60 miles) southeast of Veracruz at depths of between 900 and 1,200 meters in the Gulf of Mexico. It is targeted to supply 400 million standard cubic feet per day. Offshore Nigeria Contract for Aker Solutions

Aker Solutions signed a contract with ExxonMobil for the supply of subsea umbilicals for the Erha North phase two development in Nigeria. The Erha North phase two development is an extension of the existing Erha subsea system and infrastructure located approximately 97 kilometers offshore Nigeria in water depths between 1,000 and 1,200 meters. Aker Solutions' scope of work includes the delivery of two dynamic and two static steel tube umbilicals, at a total length of 16.5 kilometers. The umbilicals will be delivered in 2014.

Aker Wins Shell Global Frame Agreement

Aker Solutions' agreement with Shell is for delivery of subsea umbilicals and cables globally. The size of the frame agreement is dependent on call-offs and the number of projects that Shell decides to execute. However, Aker Solutions estimates that the frame agreement could generate revenues between USD 200 and USD 400 million. Order intake will be booked whenever the specific contracts are signed. The Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) with Shell is signed for the duration of five years with an option for an additional five years. Aker Solutions will deliver dynamic and static steel tube umbilicals for both shallow and deepwater applications. The EFA has a global scope.

Deepwater Umbilical Contract for Aker Solutions

ENI signs umbilicals contract with Aker Solutions for an offshore Angolan (W. Africa) deep water region field. The contract with ENI for the Block 15\06 West Hub development is worth approximately USD 50 million (NOK 300 million). ENI has the operatorship of Block 15\06. The West Hub development project, which is part of 15\06, is located approximately 350 kilometres northwest of Luanda and 130 kilometres west of Soyo in Angola. The West Hub consists of the main field Sangos and two additional satellite fields called Cinguvu and Ngoma. Aker Solutions' scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and supply of static and dynamic steel tube umbilicals, totalling 34 kilometres, in addition to associated equipment and hardware.

China Subsea Contract for Technip

Technip in a consortium with Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd (COOEC) wins a substantial subsea contract in China. The contract, value  €200 million (Technip share: around €110 million)  was awarded by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Deepwater Development Limited is for the South China Sea deepwater gas development project in the Panyu field, located about 150 kilometers South of Hong Kong. The development consists in a new subsea production system with six wells and its associated control system tied up to a new central processing platform. The contract covers the supply and installation of a 10” and a 6” diameter clad-lined pipelines, of steel tube umbilicals*, and associated equipments.

Deep Down Constructs Carousel System

Deep Down, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DPDW), an oilfield services company specializing in complex deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil production distribution system support services, announced that it has completed the design and has begun construction of a 3,200 metric ton Carousel System, which is scheduled for completion early in the third quarter of 2010. Upon completion the Carousel System will be located in the Gulf Coast, to facilitate the handling of umbilicals from transportation vessels onto the Carousel, and with the ability to store up to three separate steel tube umbilicals for projects in the region.

Subsea Umbilical Frame Agreement

Aker Solutions has signed a frame agreement with Shell Norway and Shell U.K. Limited for the supply of subsea umbilicals. The contract is awarded for one year with an option to extend it an additional 12 months. The award means that Aker Solutions will be the preferred supplier of steel tube umbilicals for projects in the North Sea that are managed by Shell's Norwegian and UK operations. Aker Solutions has held similar frame agreements with Shell UK since 2001. "We have delivered several well-functioning umbilical systems to Shell already. Aker Kvaerner Signs Agreement with Woodside

Aker Kvaerner has signed a frame agreement with Woodside Petroleum Ltd to become the Australian oil and gas giant's preferred supplier of steel tube umbilicals. The contract could be worth between NOK 150 - 200 million annually. The frame agreement is awarded for a three year period with optional periods of one + one year and has the potential to support Woodside Petroleum Ltd with its proposed LNG developments. The agreement will make Aker Kvaerner's subsea division the main supplier of steel tube umbilicals to Woodside's field developments off the western coast of Australia. As part of the contract, Aker Kvaerner will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, testing, certification, delivery and installation support of the umbilical systems.

Aker Kvaerner Gets Subsea Contract

StatoilHydro on behalf of the Morvin license group, awarded Aker Kvaerner a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a complete subsea production system for StatoilHydro's Morvin field in the Norwegian Sea. The contract, worth approximately $181m is a testament to Aker Kvaerner's unique high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) subsea technology. The Morvin contract is an addition to the scope identified in the frame agreement signed by Aker Kvaerner and StatoilHydro in September this year. The subsea production system for the Morvin field will consist of two four-slot manifolds, three horizontal subsea trees, production control system, steel tube umbilicals, tie-in system and intervention tools.

Kvaerner, Saipem Sign $28M Deal

Kvaerner ASA said it has an intentional deal with Italian oilfield services company Saipem for a subsea umbilical project in the Gulf of Mexico. The deal, valued at about $28 million, calls for Kvaerner to manufacture and supply production control, electrohydraulic steel tube umbilicals for the Canyon Exress subsea development, in which Saipem is the main contractor, it said in a statement. The steel tube umbilicals will be manufactured at Kvaerner's.

Umbilical Contract to Aker Kvaerner

Aker Kvaerner signed a contract with Subsea 7 Norway for the manufacturing and supply of steel tube umbilicals for Norsk Hydro's Vega and Troll O2 developments in the North Sea. The contract, worth $74.5 m, is one of Aker Kvaerner's largest stand-alone umbilical contracts to date. Aker Kvaerner Subsea will deliver approximately 60 km of static and dynamic umbilicals to Subsea 7 for its developments at Norsk Hydro's Vega and Troll 02 fields. Work on the umbilicals will commence immediately. They will be manufactured at Aker Kvaerner Subsea's facility in Moss, Norway. Delivery is scheduled for April 2009.

Aker Kvaerner Awarded Reliance Subsea Contract

Reliance Industries Limited has awarded Aker Kvaerner an engineering, procurement and construction contract to deliver an 18 well subsea production system for the deepwater Block KG-D6 gas development located offshore the east coast of India. The contract is one of the world's largest subsea contracts ever awarded and affirms Aker Kvaerner's position as the leading contractor for deepwater subsea developments. The initial contract value is approximately $400m. Aker Kvaerner Subsea will supply a complete subsea production system including subsea trees, manifolds, steel tube umbilicals and power cables, controls system and associated connections to tie the subsea production system to an onshore gas terminal.

BP Limited UK has extended a three year frame agreement with Aker Kvaerner, for the supply of steel tube umbilicals, for an additional two years until 2007. Aker Kvaerner Subsea will continue to provide project management, engineering and manufacturing of steel tube umbilicals. The steel tube umbilicals are manufactured at Aker Kvaerner Subsea's purpose-built facility in Moss, Norway. Under the existing frame agreement Aker Kvaerner has supplied steel tube umbilicals for the Rhum, Farragon and Azeri Chirag Gunashli projects in the UK and Azerbaijan.
