STX Europe to Prepay Corporate Bond Due 2012

STX Europe AS ("STX Europe") has resolved to prepay its NOK 250 million senior unsecured bonds issue due 2012 according to its terms. The bonds are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker STX01 (ISIN NO0010566904). It is expected that the formal call-notice to the bondholders will take place shortly, and that repayment, including call premium and accrued interest, will be made with value on or about 19 August 2011. STX Europe will fund the repayment of the bonds from the STX Europe group's own resources, which will include the proceeds from the sale of 215,590,000 shares in STX OSV Holdings Limited (STX OSV) (see separate stock exchange release today).

Wärtsilä Supplies Bio-Fuel for Cargo Vessel

Wärtsilä's leading engine technology offers flexibility which enables switching of fuels without any interruption in operation should the need arise. This will be the first installation ever where a European commercial shipping operation is going to permanently use liquid bio-fuel. Wärtsilä, the marine industry's leading solutions provider and systems integrator, has been contracted by the STX Finland shipyard in Turku, Finland, to supply the main engines for a new multi-purpose cargo vessel. STX Finland is part of the international STX Europe Group.

Wärtsilä LNGPac, Compact Silencer for Viking Line

Wärtsilä was awarded a contract by shipbuilding company STX Finland Oy to supply additional equipment for the world's biggest LNG fuelled passenger ferry. The ship is to be built for Viking Line, a Finnish owner, and the extension contract covers onboard LNG (liquefied natural gas) storage and supply systems (LNGPac) and an advanced Compact Silencer System (CSS). Earlier in 2011, Wärtsilä had received an order to deliver four gas-fuelled main engines and propulsion machinery for the same vessel, which will sail the Baltic Sea between Turku, Finland, and Stockholm, Sweden.

Wärtsilä Receives Order For Gas Engines and Equipment to Viking Line's New Environmentally Sound Passenger Ferry

Wärtsilä, the marine industry's leading solutions provider, has been awarded a contract by shipbuilding company STX Finland Oy to supply the propulsion machinery for a new passenger ferry to be built for Viking Line, a Finnish ship owner. The vessel will be the largest passenger ferry to operate on liquefied natural gas (LNG), making it the most environmentally sound and energy efficient large passenger vessel in the industry to date. The ship will be built at the STX Turku shipyard, in Finland, and is scheduled to enter service in 2013.
