PMI Energy Services Opens Shorebase in Louisiana

PMI Energy Services, a Superior Energy Services company, has opened a shorebase in Morgan City, Louisiana, focused on supporting shelf, coastal and inland waters production and drilling activities. Hallin Marine Completes Unique FPSO Contract

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services company, says it has completed a unique project for COOEC Subsea Technology, a wholly-own subsidiary of COOEC (China Offshore Oil Engineering Company) which  involved the replacement of 9 mooring lines beneath the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel HYSY111, while maintaining live operations. The oil and gas industry has previously witnessed the replacement of a single damaged mooring line replacement under such conditions; however this is the first time all FPSO mooring lines have been replaced as one continuous activity. The entire task was completed ahead of schedule without shutting down production on the facility, and with zero lost-time injury.

HB Rentals Provides 14- and 15- Building Packages for Mexico Projects

Accommodations specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, installed fourteen A60 – ABS/USCG approved buildings on an ABS-classed offshore construction vessel and provided fifteen buildings to a Lloyd’s-classed multipurpose platform supply vessel. Both vessels are located in Mexico, announced HB Rentals Senior Vice President of Global Operations Glenn Aguilar. The temporary building packages include the provision of sleeper units, diners, laundry rooms and locker facilities.

Hallin Marine's Windermere Active in Indonesia

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services company, has announced that its SOV Windermere subsea operations vessel is providing offshore support services in the Maleo gas field off Madura, East Java. Operating on behalf of a major Indonesian oil company, the Windermere is engaged in a wide range of testing and platform support operations. These include repair and maintenance of subsea gussets, underwater welding of gusset plates and grouting work on mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) legs. A central element of the project is the Windermere's integral 15-man saturating diving facility.

Offshore accommodation specialist,  HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, has completed an eight-building and heliport package on a fixed platform in offshore Trinidad, Jude Primeaux Director of International Operations announced. The 12-month project included the construction of three 12-man sleepers, a galley, diner, office, laundry room, company man office, and heliport with a fire suppression system. HB Rentals also provided stairs and platforms for the building package.

HB Rentals Completes Seven Building Package in Green Canyon Area of Gulf of Mexico. Offshore accommodation specialist,  HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company has completed a three-month project to install seven ABS/USCG building packages on a compliant tower in the Green Canyon Area of the Gulf of Mexico, announced Glenn Aguilar, HB Rentals Vice President – Corporate Sales and Marketing. The package consisted of three 12-man sleepers, two eight-man sleepers with office capabilities; and an eight-man sleeper and recreation room. The buildings were stacked two wide by three high.

Stabil Introduces New Drilling Tool

Stabil Drill, a Superior Energy Services company, has developed the Stabil Drill Ghost Reamer for application in horizontal shale drilling, announced COO Chris Russo. The Ghost Reamer, an eight-bladed Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC) reamer, allows the wellbore to be cleaned and cleared either by back reaming on rigs that have top-drive or for rigs without top-drive, by pulling out to the top of the curve and then rotating forward until reaching total depth. This flexible solution eliminates wiper trips - saving time and money.

New MD for Hallin’s West Division

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services Company, has appointed a new managing director for its West Division as it grows the capability and assets of its Aberdeen-based operation. Hallin has promoted Giovanni Corbetta to the Managing Director’s role after he distinguished himself as the division’s projects director. Giovanni has strong, industry-wide experience and is considered ideal to lead Hallin’s expansion in the region as it continues its growth from ROV operations to an integrated subsea contractor. Hallin’s West Division has successfully operated a large fleet of ROV vehicles in the northern hemisphere and is emulating the success of the company’s Singapore-based East Division as it adds specialist DP2 vessels, saturation and air diving and engineering to its offering.

HB Rentals Contract in Gulf of Mexico

Offshore accommodation specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, recently was awarded a six-month, $2.5m contract. HB Rentals provided accommodations, auxiliary equipment and communication systems for five barges working along the Gulf Coast. The accommodations include complete living quarter packages consisting of sleepers, galleys, diners, offices, recreation rooms and utility buildings as well as power generation, sewage, potable water and communication systems.

HB Rentals’ Eagle Ford Contract & New Texas Facility

Onsite accommodation specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, has opened an additional facility in Texas and has been awarded a one-year contract to provide onsite living quarters with offices for four rigs operating in the Eagle Ford shale play in South Texas. The additional facility is located in Laredo, Texas. This yard was strategically added in order to support customers’ needs to provide the highest level of support and equipment in the Eagle Ford shale region. HB Rentals Completes Trinidad Job for EOG

Onsite accommodation specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, recently was awarded a $2.5m contract by EOG Resources, Inc. On the Toucan Platform in Trinidad in the West Indies, HB Rentals installed a 15-building package, stacking three units wide and five levels high, with a sleeping capacity of 48. The contract includes four sleepers, a super galley, a super diner, three office sleepers, a medic room, dry storage and a recreational room, all using fiberglass.

HB Rentals First Nicaraguan Project

Accommodations specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, has delivered three skid units to San Jacinto Tizate, Nicaragua, for Thermasource Inc., announced Glenn Aguilar, Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing. This is the company’s first delivery to Nicaragua. The package consists of one 8 Man Crew Quarter and two standard bedroom skid houses. They are fully furnished and come complete with bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area and a living room. Water and sewer holding tanks were included, as well as all associated installation materials. “We are thrilled to be stepping into this region in Central America,” said Ken Ferguson, Director of Business Development.

Hallin Wins $25m ROV Contract

Hallin Marine Subsea International Ltd, a Superior Energy Services company, has won a $25 million, five-year contract to supply ROV services from Marine Subsea AS for the new build subsea intervention vessel Karianne. Under the terms of the contract, Hallin will supply two new Quantum XP 200hp work class ROVs and handling systems and the teams of operators and technicians to deploy and operate the vehicles. Hallin has ordered the ROVs from UK manufacturer SMD and the vehicles will use bespoke handling systems and hangers that will be built into the 120 metre, state of the art vessel. The 3,000 m rated, work class ROVs will give the Karianne great flexibility in its primary role as a subsea well intervention and construction support vessel in the deepwater regions across the globe.

Accommodations specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, installed a six-building accommodations package on the Siem Dorado vessel for use in the Gulf of Mexico. In order to help the client stay on schedule, HB Rentals completed the installation while the vessel was in transit. The package includes six ABS- and USCG-compliant twelve-man sleeper units, which will be stacked two high and three wide. HB will also install platforms, stairways, gas detection, pressure sets, sewage treatment systems, lift pumps, transformers and distribution panels to accompany the buildings.

Accommodations specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, has installed a six-building accommodation package on the Mighty Servant 3 , a Mobile Landing Platform (MLP) Time Charter Project. The package includes three ABS- and USCG-compliant twelve-man sleeper units, a galley/diner, a recreation room and a laundry/conference room. HB will also provide sewage treatment systems, lift pumps, pressure sets, water manifolds, hoses, platforms, stairways, fire panels, slings, transformers and power cords to accompany the buildings. The package will consist of two ABS- and USCG-compliant eight-man sleeper units with a .3 bar blast rating, which will be stacked to conserve deck space on the platform.
