ObjectVideo Wins DARPA Award
ObjectVideo won a $750,000 award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II program to continue to research and develop night vision video surveillance technologies. “This second award from DARPA is a terrific validation of the expertise of our scientists as well as critical to helping us continue to develop cutting-edge security technologies absolutely necessary to defending our homeland,” said Alan Lipton, chief technology officer of ObjectVideo. ObjectVideo’s patented intelligent video surveillance software, based on artificial intelligence called "computer vision," runs all objects in a camera's view against threat-specific pre-programmed rules.
VistaScape Software Deployed at West Coast Ports
VistaScape Security Systems deployed its SiteIQ automated wide-area surveillance software at maritime terminal properties of Total Terminals International (TTI) within the Ports of Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle. The multi-site installation, a first of its kind, provides TTI with a single graphical user interface armed with intelligent video capabilities to protect multiple commercial assets along the West Coast. The deployments extend VistaScape's position as the market share leader for surveillance software in the maritime sector. With customers at 6 of the top 10 busiest ports in the nation, SiteIQ is the platform of choice for leading ports and maritime facilities.
