Liftboat Jinshan 1 Delivered

A 97.5m truss-legged liftboat designed by A. K. Suda (SUDA) has been completed and is being delivered to its owner, following on the heels of a 91.5m truss leg liftboat delivered earlier this year. Built by Triyards Marine for Swissco Offshore, the new state-of-the-art vessel Jinshan 1 is a four-legged, self-propelled, self-elevating, general service liftboat based on the SUDA 320-L4T. It is ABS classed with Unrestricted Service, +A-1, + AMS. The hull dimensions are 55m x 35m x 4.5m. The quarters arrangement can accommodate 146 persons including crew.

Monohull Crewboat Swissco Cheetah Delivered

Incat Crowther launched Swissco Cheetah, the first of a pair of 36-meter crewboats built by Cheoy Lee Shipyards of Hong Kong. Capable of carrying 50 tons of deck cargo, the 70-passenger vessel was delivered by Cheoy Lee’s Zhuhai shipyard to Singapore-based operator, Swissco Offshore. Representing the first of this type of vessel built by Cheoy Lee, the Swissco Cheetah is the latest in a long line of collaborative efforts between builder and designer, including a large number of successful aluminum and composite passenger vessels.

Swissco Adds on 2 More Vessels to Fleet

Swissco International Ltd. said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Swissco Offshore Pte Ltd (SOPL) has added two more offshore support vessels worth $5.7m to their vessel fleet. The first unit is a 147-ft. vessel placed with a Chinese shipyard in Guangzhou slated for delivery in 2H08. This order is the fifth of its kind to be placed with the same shipyard. This recent order is a testament to the Group’s belief in the high demand of such vessels. The second confirmation is a 98-ft. aluminum fast craft, the third to be placed with a Western Australia shipyard. Source: Korea Times
