VARD Selects Synapsis INS For an Advanced Research Vessel
The German navigation system integrator Raytheon Anschütz has won a contract for the supply of a Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to an advanced research vessel. VARD Holding Limited, a major global designer and shipbuilder of specialized vessels, with their subsidiary VARD Electro AS, have selected Raytheon Anschütz’ Synapsis INS for a new research vessel. The Synapsis INS is part of a large equipment and electrical installation package, which VARD Electro AS will provide to Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
Synapsis INS for New Windpark Service Vessel
The German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz, together with its exclusive Norwegian distributor Syberg AS, has been awarded another contract for the supply of the Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a new state-of-the-art windfarm service vessel. Havyard Design & Solutions has developed the new windfarm service vessel design Havyard 831 SOV in close cooperation with Danish shipowner ESVAGT. The vessel is compact and efficient, but with ample capacity to provide onboard service and transport technicians and equipment.
Raytheon Anschütz Steering Gear Control for Luxury Cruise Ships
The German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz was awarded a retrofit contract of steering gear control systems for two luxury cruise ships chartered by Noble Caledonia Ltd. The cruise ships will be retrofitted with the Anschütz NautoSteer AS advanced steering gear control system. Salén Ship Management, as the technical manager of the cruise ships Island Sky and Hebridean Sky, has decided to replace the manual steering gear control systems with a redundant NautoSteer AS steering gear control system from Raytheon Anschütz.
Synapsis INS for Offshore Crew Change Vessel
German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz has secured a contract for the delivery of the Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a Crew Change Vessel (CCV). The vessel is being built for the Danish shipping company Esvagt by Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard in Spain. The vessel, used for crew changes at sea, is planned to be delivered in the second quarter of 2017. Havyard Ship Design & Solutions AS, in accordance to the shipowner, is responsible for ship design and delivery of system packages.
Synapsis INS for Two New Wind Farm Service Vessels
The German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz, says that together with its exclusive Norwegian distributor Syberg AS, it has been awarded a contract for the supply of an advanced Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to two new state-of-the-art wind farm service vessels. Raytheon explains that the Norwegian shipyard, Havyard Ship Technology in Leirvik / Sogn, is designing and building the new vessels which have to meet the highest demands on design, safety, efficiency and performance. Raytheon Anschütz contributes to the advanced vessels with the supply of Integrated Navigation equipment from its Synapsis Intelligent Bridge Control series, which will be in compliance with DNV’s DNV NAUT-AW notation.
Raytheon Anschütz to Supply ECDIS 24 to Nor Lines
Under the contract, Nor Lines has ordered 10 ECDIS 24 systems for installations on board of five ships, with MV Cometa being the first vessel to be refitted. All five shipsets will be supplied and commissioned by Raytheon Anschütz’ Norwegian distributor Syberg AS. The ECDIS 24 retrofit package consists of a 24” TFT Panel- PC, an interface box providing all necessary interfaces as required by the ECDIS performance standard IEC61174, trackball, DVD drive and cabling. The exchange of data, routes and charts between the two ECDIS onboard will be easily realized via LAN network cable.
Raytheon Anschütz Supplies Nor Lines ECDISRetrofit
Raytheon Anschütz was awarded a contract for the supply of ECDIS 24 to a significant retrofit program of Norwegian shipowner Nor Lines. ECDIS 24 is a particular designed retrofit version of the well-known Raytheon Anschütz ECDIS. Under the contract, Nor Lines has ordered ten ECDIS 24 systems for installations on board of five ships, with MV Cometa being the first vessel to be refitted. Raytheon Anschütz 10,000th Standard 22 Gyro
The German navigation system supplier Raytheon Anschütz has delivered its 10,000th Standard 22 Gyro Compass, making the Standard 22 the world’s most popular gyro compass of all times. New Synapsis Radar and ECDIS Launched
The German navigation system supplier Raytheon Anschütz introduces a new series of Radar, ECDIS and Conning systems. The new Synapsis Workstations are part of the Raytheon Anschütz exhibit at Norshipping 2011. The new generation of Synapsis (Chart-) Radar, Synapsis ECDIS and Synapsis Conning are an integral part of the recently launched Synapsis Bridge Control series. The wide-screen, task-orientated Synapsis workstations are based one an innovative system architecture, which uses standard hardware and software to provide highest scalability.
R. STAHL acquires Tranberg AS
R. STAHL AG and the shareholders of Tranberg AS of Stavanger, Norway have entered into a contract of sale transferring title to the enterprise to R. STAHL Technologies with effect of 1 October 2006. The purchase price remains undisclosed. The Norwegian company develops, manufactures, and distributes lighting and signal systems used in ship building and on helicopter landing decks in addition to producing explosion protected heating and control systems for industrial applications. Tranberg employs 60 persons at its Stavanger site and realised some EUR 1m EBT on 2005 sales of EUR 10m. Thanks to the resulting synergy potential, management expects additional global sales growth in the medium term.
