Ferguson Launches New Offshore Bunded Tank

Ferguson Group, a supplier of offshore DNV 2.7-1 / EN12079 certified containers, mud skips, tanks, refrigeration/freezer modules, accommodation and workspace modules also certified to DNV 2.7-2, has introduced bunded tanks to its offshore fleet. The new tanks are designed to be used where HSE mandates a bunded area, but there is insufficient space to provide this. Ferguson Launches Cryogenic and ISO Tanks

The Ferguson Group, a supplier of DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 certified offshore containers, accommodation and workspace modules is expanding its product range, to include cryogenic and ISO tanks. The cryogenic tanks, 10 ft with a 7,890 ltr capacity, are designed for the transportation and storage of liquefied industrial gases. New to the Ferguson Group. Judith Verner, Fluid Solutions - Development Manager is based at the group’s headquarters in Aberdeenshire. She has been managing the introduction of the cryogenic tanks to the Ferguson Group’s fleet.

Seadrill Secures Two New Tender Rig Contracts

Seadrill has been awarded a contract by Chevron for extension of the production drilling assignment for the self-erecting tender rig T4. The contract extension has a duration of five years. The estimated contract value is approximately $156m. The commencement of the new contract is scheduled for second quarter 2008 following a five-year survey after completion of the current contract. T4 is currently operating offshore Thailand. The self-erecting tender rig T11 currently under construction at MMHE in Malaysia has been awarded a five-year contract by Chevron for operations in Thailand. The contract is expected to commence in July 2008 following delivery from the yard. The estimated contract value is $203m.
