Solstad Offshore Secures Contract with Technip

Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) says it has entered into a frame agreement with Technip Norge AS and Technip UK Limited (Technip) to supply vessels for trenching, construction and subsea services. The deal’s commercial terms have not been disclosed. The frame agreement, which is valid for 2016-2018, will enable Technip to utilize Normand Progress, Normand Pioneer, Normand Ranger and Normand Mariner. Vard Wins Farstad's OSCV Contract

Vard Holdings Limited (“VARD”) has secured a contract for the design and construction of one Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (“OSCV”) for Farstad Shipping (“Farstad”). The vessel will be of VARD 3 17 design, with a total length of 98 meters and a beam of 21.5 meters, and has been developed especially for subsea and IMR operations. It is arranged for two ROVs (Remote Operating Vehicles) and features a 150 ton active heave compensated offshore crane. The vessel was designed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway, in close cooperation with Farstad and Technip. Farstad has been awarded a five year framework agreement by Technip Norge for delivery of ROV support operations, light construction work, IMR and other subsea related activities, which will be fulfilled with this newbuild vessel.

Farstad to Perform Subsea Support for Technip

Farstad Shipping ASA has been awarded a five-year framework agreement by Technip Norge AS for delivery of ROV support operations, light construction work, IMR and other subsea related activities.   The agreement gives Technip the right to utilize the vessel up to 320 days per year, and to extend the contract with a further up to five-year period. Commencement of the framework agreement will be first quarter 2017.   To fulfill the contractual obligations Farstad Shipping ASA will enter into an agreement to build one subsea/IMR vessel. The vessel has been developed and designed in close cooperation with Technip to support IMR activities with crane capacities up to 150 tons.   Farstad Shipping is in final negotiations with a yard about the shipbuilding contract.

Kværner to Play Part in Construction of Enormous Offshore Spar Platform

Norway's Kværner ASA say that Technip Norge AS has awarded them a sub-contract for the Fjord Base and Support Services up-ending and preparation for mating operations of the sub-structure for the Aasta Hansteen Spar platform. With a total length of 198 meters, Aasta Hansteen will be the world's largest spar platform, claims Kværner,  and the first of its kind on the Norwegian continental shelf. Statoil has contracted Technip and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in a consortium to engineer, procure and construct (EPC) the Aasta Hansteen spar substructure.

Gjøa Contract to Technip Norge

StatoilHydro has awarded the contract for the fabrication and installation of structures and tie-in of the pipeline systems for the Gjøa project to Technip Norge AS. Work will start immediately. Technip has previously been awarded the contract for the fabrication and installation of the in-field pipelines and will also perform unmanned subsea operations. The fabrication work will start during the autumn of 2008. The extensive installation work will continue through the 2009 season.

Subsea Tie-in and Connection Contract

Aker Kvaerner Subsea has been awarded a contract for supply of tie-in and connection system for Hydro's Fram Øst and Vilje Field Development in the North Sea through Technip Norge AS. The total contract value for the two projects are approximately $3.5 million. The Fram Øst field is located in Block 35/11 and will be tied back to the Troll C platform. The Fram Øst scope of supply is engineering, hardware supply of flowline termination heads, clamp connectors, hubs, porch structures and various caps. In addition to the hardware equipment, rental of tools and hire in offshore service personnel from our service group will be provided. Delivery of the hardware equipment is February 2006 with offshore service and support July 2006.
