Teledyne Acquires ChartWorld International
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated announced today that it has acquired ChartWorld International Limited and affiliates. ChartWorld, headquartered in Cyprus, with additional locations in Hamburg, Singapore, Vancouver and Tokyo, is a provider of digital marine navigation hardware and software provided through a subscription-based model. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.Commercial maritime subscribers to ChartWorld’s software as a service (SaaS) receive free type-approved Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS), a lifetime warranty and global 24/7 support.
Teledyne Acquires FLIR
Industrial conglomerate Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) said it has completed its acquisition of thermal imaging cameras and sensors company FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:FLIR). FLIR will now be included in Teledyne’s Digital Imaging segment and operate under the name Teledyne FLIR.Under the terms of the cash-and-stock deal announced in January, FLIR stockholders received $28.00 per share in cash and 0.0718 shares of Teledyne common stock for each FLIR share, which implies a total purchase price of approximately $57.40 per FLIR share based on Teledyne’s closing price on May 13.

Teledyne Opens Technology Development Center
Teledyne Oil & Gas, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, announced today that it held a Grand Opening celebration of its new 52,000-square-foot Technology Development Center in Daytona Beach. Teledyne Completes Acquisition of RESON
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated announced today that it has completed the acquisition of RESON. RESON, headquartered in Slangerup, Denmark, provides high-resolution marine acoustic imaging and measurement solutions. The acquired company will operate under the name Teledyne RESON. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. With more than 30 years of experience and approximately 1,400 RESON echosounders sold worldwide, RESON is a provider of multibeam sonar systems and specialty acoustic sensors for hydrography, global marine infrastructure and offshore energy operations.
Teledyne Wins $9M LSS GMM Contract
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – May 10, 2011 – Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., in Huntsville, Ala., was awarded a $9 million contract from Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) to manufacture four Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Gun Mission Modules (GMM). Teledyne Brown will manufacture each of the modules and assemble and test them at the company’s Huntsville manufacturing facility. Each module will be equipped with a 30MM gun weapon system and two modules will be mounted on each LCS.
