Sperry Marine Nav Systems for Italian Superyachts

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been selected to supply the bridge navigation systems for two new superyachts under construction by Italian yachtbuilder Perini Navi at its shipyards in Viareggio and La Spezia. The orders for the integrated bridge systems were awarded to Northrop Grummanā€™s Sperry Marine business unit through Telemar Yachting, Northrop Grumman Sperry Marineā€™s authorized sales and service representative for the yacht market in Italy. Telemar Yachting is responsible for designing, installing, integrating and commissioning the bridge electronics for the two yachts. The yachts are the 183.7-ft aluminum ketch SY Melekā€¦

Northrop Grumman Supplies the Ancora

The new megayacht Ancora, which recently made its debut from Italyā€™s Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia, has been fitted with a state-of-the-art integrated bridge system (IBS) supplied by Northrop Grumman Corporationā€™s (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit. The bridge electronics suite is based on Sperry Marineā€™s VisionMaster FT technology and features an array of TotalWatch multi-function workstations for controlling the shipā€™s radars, electronic chart system, closed-circuit TV, machinery monitoring and conning displays. Sperry Marine Systems for Megayacht

Northrop Grumman Corporationā€™s (NYSE: NOC) Sperry Marine business unit is supplying a complete suite of electronic navigation systems for a new megayacht being constructed in Italy. The 142-foot (43-meter) motoryacht, which is being built for a private owner at the Baglietto Shipyard in La Spezia, will be equipped with an integrated bridge system (IBS) based on Sperry Marineā€™s new-generation VisionMaster FTā„¢ technology. The scope of supply will include X- and S-band radars, electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS), TotalWatchā„¢ multi-function workstation, gyrocompass, autopilot, steering system and other navigation sensors.
