Hogia Ferry Announces Promotions
The management at Hogia Ferry Systems changes positions. Sales manager Alf-Håkan Romar takes over as new managing director at Hogia Ferry Systems. The company’s founder and present managing director, Stefan Engelholm, is instead to focus on system development. He will also continue as a member of the boards of Hogia Ferry Systems Ab and Oy Hogia Data Ab. Stefan Engelholm, managing director of Hogia Ferry Systems in Korsholm (Vaasa) has announced that he is to resign as managing director of the company at the general meeting of shareholders in April 2005. Hogia Ferry Systems was founded by Engelholm in 1981 – known then as Oy Consy Ab – and he has led the company since then.
Port Newark Container Terminal Celebrates Grand Opening
The Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) will celebrate its official grand opening of the $175 million terminal redevelopment project at a ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow, September 26, 2002. The ceremony will begin at noon at the PNCT facility, located at 241 Calcutta Street in Port Newark, NJ. Joseph Assante, president of Port Newark container Terminal, will host the event and HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York will be guest of honor. Members of the PNCT Board of Directors as well as other distinguished members of the Port Authority of NY & NJ, State of New Jersey and local officials will also be in attendance. PNCT Grand Opening Marks New Beginning
Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT), the $175 million terminal redevelopment project in Port Newark, N.J. has officially opened its gates for business. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, PNCT was christened by the U.K.’s HRH Prince Andrew to be the most advanced, international, multi-user container facility on the east coast. The joint venture company of P&O Nedlloyd and P&O Ports, Port Newark container Terminal signed a 30-year lease with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 2000 to operate a 176-acre container terminal in Port Newark. For the past three years PNCT has been a working container terminal as two phases of the redevelopment process were in progress.
