KOTUG Takes Full Ownership of Its Bahamas Towage JV with SEACOR

KOTUG International, a marine services and towage provider based in the Netherlands, announced on Thursday it has concluded its acquisition of Kotug Seabulk Maritime (KSM), taking full ownership of the Caribbean marine towage business.KOTUG said it has acquired the interest of its joint venture partner, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based SEACOR Holdings via its Seabulk subsidiary KS Maritime Holdings, owner of the 50% share in KSM.Founded in 2017, KSM acts as the exclusive provider of maritime terminal support services for Buckeye Partners’ Bahamas Hub…

Jawar Al Khaleej Orders Three Vessels

At this year’s Seatrade Maritime Middle East Exhibition taking place in Dubai, Jawar Al Khaleej Shipping LLC (JAK) signed a contract with Damen Shipyards Group for the supply of three vessels: one Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 5009 and two ASD Tugs 3213. JAK is a provider of specialist services to the offshore oil and gas sector in the Gulf, delivering logistical support including oil terminal support services, towage and salvage, together with other integrated offshore solutions.

Damen to Build ASD Tug for Smit Lamnalco

Smit Lamnalco has contracted Damen to build a new, shallow draught ASD Tug2810, the design of which illustrates the cooperative relationship between the two companies. The tug is set to expand Smit Lamnalco’s oil and gas terminal support services in Novorossiysk, on the Russian Black Sea coast. The contract specifies for the standard 2810 design in all but one key aspect – the vessel’s draught will have to be reduced to 4.5 meters due to the shallow working depths in the field of operation in Novorossiysk.

Robert Allan Celebrates 80 Years in Design

In May 2010, in conjunction with the presence of the International Tug & Salvage Conference in Vancouver, Robert Allan Ltd. will celebrate its 80th continuous year in business as an independent, privately held, consulting Naval Architecture firm. The firm will commemorate this significant milestone in its history with many of its local and international clients who will be attending the conference. Robert Allan Ltd. is currently Canada's most senior Naval Architectural firm, and with 65 employees is one of the largest in the country.
