ASCO Completes Irgiz Overhaul

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) announced that its towing and supply vessel Irgiz, belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, has been accomplished major overhaul. The vessel was repaired at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard.The main and auxiliary steering gears and engines, oil and water coolers, air cylinder fittings, pumps for various purposes, separators, and piping systems were repaired. ASCO Vessel Om Back in Operation

Azerbaijani shipping company ASCO said that overhaul of the towing and supplying vessel Om, owned by its offshore fleet, has been completed.Repair work was carried out at the Bibi-Heybat Shipyard, said Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company.During the repair, the main and auxiliary engines of the vessel, pumps, pipelines, living quarters, sanitary facilities and a dining room were overhauled.In addition, two out-of-date 1LA4 280-4SA90-Z type air compressors have been replaced with modern MAS GA 75 type air compressors.During the dock repair, the underwater and above water parts of the vessel were cleaned and painted, bottom-outboard fittings…

ASCO Ships Completes Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant

More than 90 percent of the construction works of the Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant, funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and the Korea Export-Import Bank, has been completed.According to Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), this facility is the first modern wastewater treatment plant in Azerbaijan developed on the basis of new technologies.Given that 400 m of the exhaust line of the Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant was installed on land, and a part with a length of 1300 m – at the sea, a route along the sea bottom was determined in advance. Azerbaijan Launches Feeder Service in Black Sea

ASCO Overhauls Shair Vagif

The multi-purpose dry cargo vessel Shair Vagif, owned by the Transport Fleet of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and operated in external waters, was overhauled at the Chernomorsk Shiprepair Yard  shipyard in Ukraine.Within the implemented works from July 3 to August 12, hydraulic booster of the vessel, its main engines and separators, including fuel, radio navigation and rescue systems, were repaired.Moreover, all automated ship control systems were restored. ASCO Ships Lay Cable for Absheron Gas

Largest Barge of Caspian Sea Undergone Overhaul

The barge of STB-1 owned by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has undergone an overhaul. The overhaul has been carried out at the Bibi-Heybat Shipyard.As part of the overhaul, the underwater and surface parts of the barge were cleaned and painted. Along with this, the bottom-side reinforcement of the barge was repaired.At the end of the overhaul, the barge “STB-1” was handed over to the crew members and Registry Classification representatives. The barge has already been released to water and shipped to the port (base) belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet.The length of the barge “STB-1” is 163, width – 45 meters. The safe load capacity is 18000 tons.

ASCO Overhauls 'Zangazur' Tanker

ASCO Shipyard Overhauls Turkmen Ship

“Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has overhauled the towing-supply vessel “CM. Rahil” owned by Turkmenistan. ASCO claimed that the overhaul was completed on time and with high quality.According to a press release, the main and auxiliary engine coolers, air pipes, engine generators, the electrical engine of auxiliary steering unit was repaired at the plant in the course of the works, and the testing of crane-beam of the lifeboat was undertaken.Along with this, the windlass unit located in the bow of the vessel has been overhauled; the hydraulic systems of the towing winches were replaced with the new ones.

ASCO Completes Overhaul of Shirvan-3

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has completed the overhaul of the crane vessel Shirvan-3 of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet. The overhaul was carried out at “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard.The ropes with a lifting capacity of 100 tons were replaced during the overhaul of the vessel. Besides, the routine maintenance of the main and auxiliary engines, pumps, piping systems, sanitary facilities and electric motors was performed.During the dock repair of the ship “Shirvan-3”, damaged underwater and surface sections of the hull were replaced, painting work was completed. ASCO Establishes JV with Columbia Shipmanagement

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Carry Out Dredging in Russian Sector of Caspian Sea

The vessels owned by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the CJSC "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company" carry out dredging operation at the Filanovsky field on the basis of a contract with Voltar Marine. A dredging vessel ("Engineer Balarza Mammadov"), three soil transportation ships (“Bakinskaya 3”, “Bakinskaya 5”, “Bakinskaya 6”) and supply-towing vessel “Yarenga” were involved in the implementation of the dredging project. A total of 27050 cubic meters of dredging works were carried out. Thus, the first stage of the project, which started on June 26, 2013, was completed. The implementation of the works planned for the second stage of the project at the Filanovsky field will also be carried out by the vessels of the Shipping Company.

Caspian Shipping Company Open Office in Greece

After a long break, CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has restored its operation in foreign waters in 2014 by the respective order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and took series of effective measures in this regard. In the past four years, number of vessels sailing outside Caspian basin – in the Sea of Azov, Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea increased by 13, out of which 11 are dry cargo vessels, while 2 are tankers. These vessels floating under our three-colors flag are operated by companies “Caspdry” and “Casptankers” established by the Caspian Shipping Company in Turkey. All these testify to the fact that CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company managed to strengthen its position in foreign waters to the great extent.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company's “Jafar Jabbarli” Back to Operation

“Jafar Jabbarli“ dry cargo vessel owned by Marine Transport Fleet of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has been overhauled by “Zigh” ship repair yard. A lot has been done during the overhaul which took almost a year. All corroded metal layers available in the hull, deck, cargo storage facility and other parts of the vessel with a safe load capacity of 3850 tons were replaced, and 350 tons of metal were used for this purpose. State cabins were overhauled in line with modern standards and supplied with new equipment and furniture. Main and auxiliary engines of the vessel, main and auxiliary wheels, ballast, air, water, fire extinguisher, oil and fuel systems have been overhauled.
