BAE inks Navy Deal

BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Rockville, Md., is being awarded an estimated $242,064,229 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-incentive fee, firm-fixed-priced, performance-based contract to provide integration, engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, delivery, and limited installation of integrated C4I capabilities aboard new construction ships. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command is awarding this Enterprise Platform Integration Contract on behalf of its organizational partner, the Navy's Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence systems. This contract includes three one-year options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $344,411,364.

Delphinus Engineering Gets Contract

Delphinus Engineering, Inc., Eddystone, Pa., is being awarded a $25,722,926 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, time and materials contract for engineering and technical services relative to shipboard fire protection and survivability upgrades. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (40 percent); San Diego (40 percent); and Eddystone (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $35,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Defense Mission Systems Secures Contract

Northrup Grumman Corp., Defense Mission Systems, Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $6,916,010 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for radar surveillance and detection and tracking systems support. The contract contains options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $34,045,008. Work will be performed in Dam Neck, Va. (40 percent), onboard East Coast ships (30 percent) and onboard West Coast ships (30 percent) and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Funding in the amount of $1,037,041 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised in the Commerce Business Daily, with two proposals solicited and two offers received.

Bender Shipbuilding Secures Contract

Bender Shipbuilding & Repair Co. Inc., Mobile, Ala., is being awarded an $8,075,500 firm-fixed-price contract for the dry docking selected restricted availability of USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG 29). Work will be performed in Mobile and is to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $7,962,443 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Techno-Sciences Awarded IMSS Contract

Techno-Sciences, Inc., Beltsville, Md., is being awarded a $16.1m cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to upgrade and integrate the existing Indonesian Integrated Maritime Surveillance System (IMSS) they developed with eight additional Coastal Surveillance Stations (CSS) and two CSS equipment sets to supplement the two existing project sites in Indonesia; improve communications capabilities at the Indonesian Headquarters Command Center; and upgrade X-Band Radars on seven Indonesian ships and Trident Monitoring System. They will also define requirements and preliminary design for a Regional Integrated Maritime Security Information Center (RIMSIC) and develop IMSS Concept of Operations, Training and Exercise Plans.
