Sinopec Signs 27-Year LNG Supply Deal

State-owned Chinese firm Sinopec signed a new 27-year LNG supply and purchase agreement with QatarEnergy, the two companies said on Saturday.Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate on the second phase of the Gulf Arab state's North Field expansion project, which will supply 3 million metric tons of LNG per year to Sinopec.A partnership agreement was also signed under which QatarEnergy will transfer a 5% interest to Sinopec in a joint venture company that owns the equivalent of 6 million tons per year of LNG production capacity in the North Field South project.The deal, signed at

Guyana's Shore Base Project Could Cut Shipping Costs by About 12%

Maritime Cyber Attacks Increase 900%

Cyber-attacks on the maritime industry’s operational technology (OT) systems have increased by 900% over the last three years with the number of reported incidents set to reach record volumes by year end.Addressing port and terminal operators during an online forum last week, Robert Rizika, Naval Dome’s Boston-based Head of North American Operations, explained that in 2017 there were 50 significant OT hacks reported, increasing to 120 in 2018 and more than 310 last year.
