Hoover Ferguson acquires Uniteam business

Hoover Ferguson Group (Hoover Ferguson), the global leader in container, workspace and packaging solutions for the energy and petrochemical industries and general industrial enterprises, has acquired the rights and obligations of Uniteam Holding AS’s (Uniteam’s) offshore container rental business. The transaction, which includes a specified fleet of standard and customized offshore containers in Norway and Malaysia, increases Hoover Ferguson’s established portfolio within the Norwegian oil and gas market and strengthens the Group’s footprint in Asia. Hoover Ferguson’s Norwegian management team will continue to lead Uniteam’s operations, supporting its customer base through the transitional period.

Hoover Container Solutions, Ferguson, CCCC Merge

Hoover Container Solutions (“Hoover”), Ferguson Group (“Ferguson”) and CHEP Catalyst & Chemical Containers (“CCC”), three leading global providers of container solutions products in the energy, petrochemical and general industrial markets, have finalized their merger to form the independent joint venture company, Hoover Ferguson Group (“Hoover Ferguson”). Hoover Container Solutions (“Hoover”), Ferguson Group (“Ferguson”) and CHEP Catalyst & Chemical Containers (“CCC”), the three global providers of container solutions products in the energy, petrochemical and general industrial markets, announced that they are merging to form Hoover Ferguson Group (“HFG”). Offshore Cargo Carrying and A60 module company OEG Offshore (OEG) is moving into Norway, Congo and Myanmar for the first time, with its acquisition of AOR Containers, a major player in Europe, Africa and Asia. Ferguson Launches New Offshore Bunded Tank

Ferguson Group, a supplier of offshore DNV 2.7-1 / EN12079 certified containers, mud skips, tanks, refrigeration/freezer modules, accommodation and workspace modules also certified to DNV 2.7-2, has introduced bunded tanks to its offshore fleet. The new tanks are designed to be used where HSE mandates a bunded area, but there is insufficient space to provide this. Ferguson Group Expands Malaysian Operations

The Ferguson Group Singapore, global provider of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers, tanks, baskets, reefers, workspace modules and accommodation solutions, is investing further in its Southeast Asia fleet. Headquartered in Loyang Offshore Supply Base, Ferguson Group Singapore continues its expansion in the region, with an increase in its Malaysian based fleet. The Malaysian fleet is based in two yards, Labuan Supply Base (ASB) and West Malaysia’s Kemaman Supply Base (KSB).

Tank, Fluid Solutions and Bunded Storage for Dangerous Goods and Chemicals Introduced at Gap Ridge, Karratha. Ferguson Group Australia, global specialist in offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers, tanks, refrigerated modules, engineering workspace and accommodation modules, has introduced a range of chemical services from its new base in Gap Ridge, Karratha WA. The purpose built base in Gap Ridge, Karratha was designed with integral chemical storage and handling facilities. Gap Ridge is within easy reach of ports, reducing the time taken to transport chemicals offshore.

Brambles Acquires Ferguson Group

The Ferguson Group announces that it has been acquired by Brambles Limited for an enterprise value of £320 million. Brambles Limited is a supply-chain logistics company operating in more than 50 countries, primarily through the CHEP and IFCO brands. The group specializes in the pooling of unit-load equipment and associated services, focusing on the outsourced management of pallets, crates and containers. Brambles primarily serves the consumer goods, dry grocery, fresh food, retail and general manufacturing supply chains.

Ferguson Norge Unveils New NORSOK Workshops

As a result of market demand for NORSOK workspace modules, Ferguson Norge, specialists in the rental of DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigeration/freezer modules, workspace modules and accommodation solutions to the global offshore energy industry, said it has expanded its NORSOK accredited range to include a enhanced series of Z-015 workshops. The range has been developed in response to customer requests for NORSOK products. The workshops have been modified to qualify for NORSOK accreditation and Ferguson Norge has already been taking orders for them.

Versatility is the Key for ASV Pioneer

The Ferguson Group, a provider of offshore containers, baskets, tanks, offshore accommodation and workspaces, launched the fully classed ABS +A1 barge ASV Pioneer in 2011. The group said ASV Pioneer is able to meet the needs of offshore oil, gas and renewables, with the challenges of remote locations and salvage operations. Since its inception, the ASV Pioneer has worked in the North Sea and Mediterranean, with interest for future contracts around West Africa, South America, Baltic, Arabian Gulf and the North Sea.

Ferguson Launches Cryogenic and ISO Tanks

The Ferguson Group, a supplier of DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 certified offshore containers, accommodation and workspace modules is expanding its product range, to include cryogenic and ISO tanks. The cryogenic tanks, 10 ft with a 7,890 ltr capacity, are designed for the transportation and storage of liquefied industrial gases. New to the Ferguson Group. Judith Verner, Fluid Solutions - Development Manager is based at the group’s headquarters in Aberdeenshire. She has been managing the introduction of the cryogenic tanks to the Ferguson Group’s fleet.

Ferguson Norge Boosts Product Range

Ferguson Norge AS, part of the Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of offshore containers, refrigeration/chiller modules, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the offshore energy sector, has increased its fleet in Norway ahead of this year’s Offshore Technology Days (OTD) exhibition. Ferguson Norge has invested in a number of new offshore containers and workspace units, which will be available from its bases in Stavanger, Bergen and Kristiansund. The units are accredited to DNV 2.7-1 and also NORSOK R-002, to ensure that specific standards in the Norwegian market are met.

Ferguson Reports Profits Increase for 2012

The Ferguson Group, global specialists in the provision of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers and accommodation solutions, has posted its 2012 results, which show continuing growth, with worldwide sales increasing by over 10% to £57.6m and pre tax profits up to £16.2m from £15.6m in 2011. Commenting on the results, Richard Smith, Group Finance Director, said: “2012 was another successful year for the Ferguson Group, which saw the company increase profits during a year of continuing investment in our global infrastructure and asset base.

Accommodation Vessel Hired for Concordia Salvage Support

Ferguson Group’s accommodation service vessel, 'ASV Pioneer', deployed in the Mediterranean on a six-month contract with salvors Titan-Micoperi. The new contract, with Titan-Micoperi, is for the ASV Pioneer to provide a support role to the salvage operation including provision of accommodation for up to 90 team members, plus deck space for specialist equipment for the salvage operation. Titan Salvage with their partner Micoperi, are industry leaders in global salvage response and are involved in the removal of the wreck of the Costa Concordia cruise ship, which partially sank in January 2012 after hitting a reef off the Italian coast and running aground at Isola del Giglio.

Ferguson Modular Invests in New Plant Equipment

Ferguson Modular, part of the Ferguson Group recently invested in state-of-the art plant equipment to improve operations. Ferguson Modular has made a significant investment in equipping its Kintore base with the latest tools to improve daily operations. A brand new Combilift straddle carrier, the first to be implemented in North East Scotland, went into operation recently at Ferguson Modular. The equipment will improve the safety and efficiency when mobilising accommodation modules during loading/unloading.

Over the coming months, a new base will open in Dubai, while the Ferguson Group’s teams in Norway and Australia will move into larger premises in Stavanger and Perth, respectively. Ferguson Modular Invests in Norwegian Market

Ferguson Modular, a division of the Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of accommodation and engineering modules to the offshore energy industry around the world, has invested $1.9m into the manufacture of new modules for the Norwegian market. The modules will be manufactured under NORSOK standards. Commenting on the investment, Ferguson Modular’s Director of Business Development Gary Wilson said: “The NORSOK compliant modules have been manufactured to expand our rental fleet in Norway and will be available at the end of October through Ferguson Norge AS, our Norwegian division based in Tananger. The NORSOK standards are developed by the Norwegian petroleum industry to ensure adequate safety, value adding and cost effectiveness for petroleum industry developments and operations.
