CMA CGM Improves India Middle East – East Africa Links

Swahili Express service will be dedicated to Kenya and Tanzania markets with very fast transit times. Mombasa will be reached from Mundra in 12 days and Dar Es Salaam in 14 days. Noura Express service will have an improved transit time to Somalia by 4 days. Mogadishu port will be reached in 7 days from Jebel Ali and in 17 days from Mundra. SWAHILI service:  As from m/v CHIEF at Nhava Sheva on February 24th, 2017, Swahili service will be operated with 4 vessels. We will add Mombasa direct call in complement to the current Dar Es Salaam call. The port coverage at origin will be upgraded with 2 direct port calls in India. Longoni and Zanzibar calls are discontinued.

CMA CGM to Reshuffle its India Middle East Gulf Route

In a continued effort to provide increased reliability and quality services in a challenging environment, CMA CGM will reorganize its services connecting India Middle East Gulf to East Africa strategic markets. Starting mid July 2016, NOURA EXPRESS and SWAHILI services new configuration will provide significant improvements: Positive developments for reefer cargo from Port Victoria direct to India and to Europe with a weekly frequency instead of fortnightly. Improved service reliability to Mogadishu from Mundra with direct service in 18 days instead of in transhipment, very fast transit time from Jebel Ali to Port Victoria in 18 days. NOURA EXPRESS service operated with 4 vessels of 2,200 TEU will stop Salalah call and add in its port coverage Mundra and Port Victoria.

Salalah Announces New CMA CGM Service Calls

The Port of Salalah, a major Arab Gulf region gateway port and transshipment hub on the Arabian Sea, has announced that French-based CMA CGM, the world’s third-largest container shipping line, will add two new weekly services to East Africa, and Europe, beginning the first week of December: the Noura Express and the EPIC service. The Noura Express service, on the East Africa trade lane operates four vessels of up to 2,755 TEU capacity, linking the ports of Jebel Ali (UAE), Khor al Fakkan (UAE), Mombasa (Kenya), Mogadishu (Somalia) and Salalah. At Salalah, transshipment is available to CMA CGM’s Europe Pakistan India Consortium (EPIC) Service, which links ports in South Asia, the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, and North Europe.

NOURA EXPRESS to Optimise its Service Between East Africa and Europe

Following its core strategy of continuous Africa Lines service upgrade, CMA CGM is pleased to present its latest significant improvement on its NOURA EXPRESS service connecting East Africa with Europe. Starting end of November 2015 with m/v MARIE DELMAS, NOURA EXPRESS fixed-day direct service from Kenya and Somalia will be upgraded with a weekly direct call at Salalah (Oman). First call is expected on December 12th, 2015. This service extension will allow smooth and fast connections from Salalah to Europe with EPIC service. - Excellent opportunity for commodities out of Uganda and Rwanda. Transit time Kampala-Hamburg in 44 days.

CMA CGM Expands West Africa Service

The CMA CGM Group announced the improvement of its ASAF service which will deploy 12 vessels of 5,700 containers (TEU) in direct service to West Africa starting May 9, thus becoming the first carrier with vessels of this capacity to call West Africa directly, the company said. With the 5,700 containers (TEU) vessels calling West Africa in direct service, the CMA CGM Group said it confirms its ambition to reinforce its offer in the area and to support the economic development of the country. The ER Canada, the first 5,700 containers (TEU) vessel operated by the CMA CGM Group to call West Africa on the ASAF service, will arrive at Walvis Bay (Namibia) on May 9, Pointe Noire (Congo) on May 14 and Luanda (Angola) on May 17.

New CMA CGM Middle East to Somalia Service

CMA CGM announced the launch of the direct service Noura Express from Middle East to Somalia. The service will connect at Khor Fakkan with CMA CGM long haul services from / to worldwide to reach Mogadishu, Somalia. The Noura Express will start as of January 29, 2014, with M/V CMA CGM Kailas voyage DB227R, deploying 1,854 TEU capacity with 21-day frequency. Noura Express full rotation is as follows: Jebel Ali (day one) – Khor Fakkan (day two) – Salalah (day three) – Mogadishu (day six) – Jebel Ali. cma-cgm.com
