Posidonia in Retrospect

It seemed the whole world revolved around Posidonia 2012 which has closed with a bang, setting a new record in terms of visitor numbers and number of countries represented in a stellar week which also saw the signing of many deals and partnerships on the floor of the Metropolitan Expo. Αlmost 19,000 visitors from 92 countries attended Posidonia 2012, making this year’s event the most successful so far. Shipping and maritime professionals from all over the whole world gave Posidonia a vote of confidence as they came to meet, network and do business with representatives of the Greek shipping community as well as with those from a total of 1,870 companies from 87 countries who occupied 35,000 square metres of total gross space.

Posidonia 2010: East Eyes Opportunity in West

“The recent spate of new-building orders from Greek ship-owners is a tangible sign of recovery and has reignited the interest of Asia’s traditional shipbuilding superpowers Korea, Japan and China, who will field their biggest ever participation at Posidonia this year,” said Theodore Vokos, Project Manager, Posidonia Exhibitions S.A., the organizers of Posidonia 2010.
