In the Dock with Selective Electroplating

Surface plating is widely used to repair or salvage critical components in the marine industry. As many components need disassembly, the repair process is typically carried out when the ship is in dry dock. Due to the nature of the plating process, this work is usually performed by plating or machine shops off-site. Record Number of Delegates at SSPC 98

The SSPC 98 International Conference and Exhibition, recently held in Orlando, was attended by a record-breaking number of delegates. 3,243 users and suppliers of coatings and coatings-related products and services attended the four day event that featured training and professional development opportunities, networking, committee meetings, and other special meetings and events. The Orange County Convention Center was the hub for information exchange on all aspects of the use of coatings to protect, improve appearance, and extend the longevity of steel, concrete, and other industrial structures. A technical program comprising 10 seminar sessions - with more than 50 presentations - and 19 tutorials provided a framework for education and training.
