TMC to Equip Cardiff Gas LNG Newbuilds

Norwegean compressor supplier TMC Compressors of the Seas (TMC) has been awarded a contract to supply a complete marine compressed air system and associated equipment to four of TMS Cardiff Gas’ LNG carriers currently under construction.The four LNG carriers are being built at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea.TMC’s scope of supply is to provide 2 x control air compressors, 1 x service air compressor, , and 2 x N2 (nitrogen) feed air compressors for each of the four vessels. Wärtsilä to Optimize Performance of Four TMS Cardiff Gas Vessels

Wärtsilä is expanding its cooperation with the Athens based ship management company TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. Under the recently signed maintenance agreement, Wärtsilä ensures the maintenance predictability of the operation of four TFDE LNG Carriers in TMS Cardiff Gas’ fleet. Eniram’s data collection platform and advanced data analytics helps TMS Cardiff Gas to achieve optimal fleet operations, resulting in reduced fuel costs and emissions. The maintenance agreement, signed in December 2017, advances the performance monitoring of TMS Cardiff Gas’ vessels.

GE to Provide Maintenance to TMS Cardiff Gas’ LNG Fleet

GE’s Marine Solutions and TMS CARDIFF GAS Ltd. have signed a service agreement that will see GE undertaking the support and maintenance of four TMS LNG vessels—Corcovado, Kita, Palu and Yari—for the next 10 years. GE will provide maintenance services to TMS fleet’s electric propulsion system, including providing parts to the propulsion motors, medium-voltage drives, generators and switchboard. It will also upgrade the vessels’ propulsion automation systems to enhance their remote and diagnostic capabilities.

TMS Cardiff Orders Two More LPG Carriers

The Economou family's TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. has exercised options on its contracts with Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea for the construction of an additional two 78,700 cbm LPG carriers. Both vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q4 2017, when they will enter into ten year timecharter contracts with Clearlake Shipping Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Gunvor Group. The vessels will be tradeable across both, the new and old Panama canal, and will be built to the highest industry specifications, as per TMS Cardiff Gas standards. These orders mark the Group's further expansion into the LPG sector, currently with a fleet of four VLGCs, all with secured term employment upon delivery.

TMS Cardiff Gas Orders First LPG Carriers

TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. has signed a contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea for the construction of two 78,700 cbm LPG carriers with the option to build another two. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2017, when they will enter into time charter contracts with Shell International Trading and Shipping Company, Limited. The vessels will be able to transit the new and old Panama canal, providing for increased flexibility compared to the market's current VLGC fleet and will be built to the highest industry specifications. These orders mark the Group's successful entry into the LPG sector, which further grows its already significantly diversified global shipping fleet.
