Transas, MDS Win Taiwan's Coastal Surveillance Contract

Transas Marine Pacific and its local partner Mercuries Data Systems (MDS) have secured a multi-million contract from the Taiwan Coast Guard Administration for installation and commissioning of the National Coastal Surveillance System. The mission-critical system is based on the Transas Navi-Harbour software employing advanced features for accurate detection, tracking and identification of small and high-speed targets. The system will provide the Taiwan Coast Guard with real time data on any activities occurring in a coastal zone thus ensuring full control over an entire coastal area. It will help to prevent illegal activity, to protect critical onshore infrastructure from intruders and support decision-making process.

Transas Simulators Boosts Western Shipping Training Center

Transas Marine Pacific has successfully completed the upgrade of a simulator complex for Western Shipping Pte. Ltd. training center. The simulator class was upgraded to the latest version of the Transas navigational simulator NTPRO 5000 to fully support ECDIS training as per STCW 2010. Transas awarded new VTS contracts in Indonesia

Transas Marine Pacific and its local representative in Indonesia have been awarded new contracts from the Government Department of Sea Transportation to supply and install Vessel Traffic Management Systems for Samarinda and Banjarmasin ports. In addition, Transas will upgrade the current VTS system in the Semarang port with a fully redundant AIS Base Station T214. The new VTS systems will be based on Transas flexible and accurate Navi-Monitor solution developed for monitoring and surveillance purposes.

Transas Marine Pacific & local representative win contracts to supply & install Vessel Traffic Management Systems (VTMS) for Samarinda and Banjarmasin ports. Transas Supplies Vessel Traffic Management in Johor

Transas Marine Pacific together with its local partner Global Teamwork Sdn Bhd has been awarded  a contract to supply and install a Vessel Traffic Management System for Pengerang Oil Terminal in Johor by Dialog Pengerang Sdn Bhd. The Vessel Traffic Management solution will allow for the Pengerang Oil Terminal compliance with the ISPS requirements. Based on the Transas Navi-Harbour VTS software package, the system includes integrated network of marine sensors such as Radar, AIS, CCTV cameras and hydro-meteorological sensors which will provide a real-time navigational picture to VTS operators.

Transas Marine Pacific Upgrades Indian Navy Ships

Transas Marine Pacific has begun upgrading Indian Naval vessels to its latest Multifunction Display 4000 MFD series as a proof of concept. In 2007 Transas supplied 139 Navi-Sailor 3000 ECDIS-I systems to the Indian Navy fleet under the contract with the Republic of India Ministry of Defence along with M/S Elcome Marine Services Pvt Ltd, India as the service partner. In continuation of successful cooperation between Transas Marine Pacific and Indian Navy, the frontline ships are now upgraded to 4000 MFD incorporating ECDIS, Radar and Conning. Transas ECDIS Ordered for 54 Bulk Carries

Transas Marine Pacific (Singapore) together with its distributor Marix K. K. (Japan) has secured a contract to supply 54 Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) to Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line). All systems are intended for the bulk carriers. Installations have already started and scheduled to be completed during 2009. All vessels will be equipped with the latest type-approved Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS.

Transas Supplies Singapore Maritime Academy

Singapore Maritime Academy, Singapore Polytechnic (SMA) has chosen Transas Marine Pacific to supply, install and commission a four Bridge Dynamic Positioning Simulator with one Instructor Station in its training facilities. Each bridge consists of DP2 workstation, ARPA/Radar, ECDIS, Conning and 1 visualization channel on 65 inch' plasma screen, and fully complies with Nautical Institute requirements for DP Training and certification. Transas Wins Thailand Simulator Contract

Transas has been awarded a contract for the design, supply, commissioning and training of a full Mission Ship Handling Simulator from Precious Shipping Public Company Limited ( PSL ), . PSL is a pure dry cargo ship-owner operating in the small handy size sector of the Tramp freight market. It is one of the largest companies in the world operating in this segment. Transas Marine Pacific (the sales and service arm of Transas in the Asia Pacific Region) completed the commissioning, operator and instructor training on Feb 29th 2008. The Simulator is a 270 degree Full Mission Ship Handling Simulator housed in Transas Consoles and is integrated with a GMDSS simulator.

Success For Transas VTS In Taiwan

Transas Marine Pacific in cooperation with its Taiwanese agent, Seven Seas Electronic, has won an order for another Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system in Taiwan. This order follows the first installation of a Navi-Traffic solution in the Port of Keelung in 1997. The tender was called, during the summer 2001, by Ho-Ping, which is a private port on the northeast coast of the country. Port construction works are nearing completion and the new port facilities will commence operating in early 2002. The VTS system in Ho-Ping will be the Navi-Harbour 3000 incorporating S- and X-band radars, a double-screen operator workstation, synchronous multi-channel audio recorder PC and a customized VTS database server.

Transas VTS System Launched in Taiwan

The long construction works of the port of Ho-Ping (Taiwan) development have been concluded with the successful launch of Transas VTS system there. The project has been implemented by Transas Marine Pacific in cooperation with their Taiwanese agent, Seven Seas Electronic.The new VTS system in Ho-Ping gives significant advantages to the industrial port as it makes it compliant with the VTS IMO/IALA regulations, improves port management system and essentially increases navigational safety in the area. Transas Secures First Simulator Order in Myanmar

In May 2002, Singapore-based Transas Marine Pacific received the first order to supply a multi-purpose simulation complex to Myanmar (Burma). The order came from Eastwind Shipmanagement Pte Ltd, which is setting up its own training center in Myanmar. Among the Transas simulator equipment to be installed within the next 8 weeks in the new training facilities of Eastwind, there will be the TGS 4100 Ver. 4.1 GMDSS simulator class; networked PC-based Engine Control Room simulator ERS 2000 Ver. 5.4.2 and the Transas ship handling simulator Navi-Trainer Professional 3000. The configuration of the ship handling simulator is a multi-task CBT solution comprising ARPA/radar, visualization/conning and ECDIS workstations.

Transas Presents its Crisis Management System in Malaysia

Transas Marine Pacific was invited to present its state-of-the-art Crisis Management System – PISCES - at one of Malaysia’s most important professional forums. A Marine Environmental Conservation Course under the auspices of the Malaysian Technical Co-operation Program was convened at country's premier maritime education and training institution - Akademi Laut Malaysia (ALAM) - from June 17 to 30, 2007. Twenty delegates from the Yemen, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Timor & the Philippines represented a wide cross-section of government bodies. Coastguard personnel, biologists, researchers and ecological managers attended the event. Capt. Sundeep R Sequeira from Transas Marine Pacific led the presentation devoted to training in emergency situations using the example of Transas CMS.

Transas Provides Simulator in Bangladesh

Transas Marine Pacific, the Transas representative in the South-East Asian region, has supplied a bridge simulator, Navi-Trainer Professional 3000, and a GMDSS simulator, TGS 4100, to Bangladesh Maritime Training Institute (BMTI). The acquired simulation facility has enabled BMTI to organize STCW compliant courses at its premises. The full mission ship handling simulator Navi-Trainer Professional 3000 comprises ECDIS with radar picture overlay capability, Radar/ARPA, real hardware for steering and engine control, Conning center and three channels of visualization. The simulator is provided with a wide variety of ship models and extended exercise areas library, including Dover Strait, Singapore Strait, Kanmon and others.

Transas Consolidates Network

From February 24 to 28, Transas Marine Pacific in cooperation with Transas HQ completed a simulation training course and distributor seminar for all Transas distributors in the Asian-Pacific region. Countries participating included Japan, The Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. It was the first organizational event of its kind held for the entire South-East Asia region. The subject of the seminar was the development of the Transas Distribution Network in the Asian Pacific region, its structure and further expansion. The participants focused on the promotion strategy for Transas products, their perspectives in the local markets and mutual cooperation between distributors and Transas HUBs.
