Tricon’s Argos Gulfstream 92 Finalist for Yacht Award

Tricon Marine announced that its Argos Gulfstream 92 (G92) has been chosen alongside the Ferretti Custom Line 124 and Sunseeker 130 Predator as a finalist in the “Flybridge over 24 meters – Innovation” category for the “World YACHTS Trophies”. Tricon’s Argos G92 is the first China-built yacht to reach the "World YACHTS Trophies" finals. The 91.8-ft Argos G92 features a private master SkySuite stateroom amidship on the second deck. The SkySuite has expansive windows that provide 270-degree panoramic views and abundant natural light. In addition to the SkySuite stateroom, the Argos Gulfstream models offer crew-free living space, flexible split-level sun decks, three well-appointed guest staterooms and crew quarters for four.

Tricon Marine Showcases Ops in China

Euro-American luxury yacht builder Tricon Marine was selected by the Chinese government to join a delegation presenting to local businessmen and women in Boston. Led by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Zhuhai Investment Promotion Bureau, the presentation highlights the region’s most notable business success stories. Tricon’s representatives will describe the company’s experiences building and managing a luxury shipbuilding operation in China. “This is a great time for business partnerships between the United States and China,” said Christos Livadas, Chairman and CEO of Tricon Marine.

Argos Gulfstream Successful Sea Trials

Tricon Marine successfully completed offshore sea trials for its 92-ft Argos Gulfstream (Argos G92), the first vessel from the company’s new limited-edition series of luxury, offshore performance yachts. The Argos G92 delivered impressive fuel efficiency, burning only eight gph at 8.5 knots (better than one nautical mile per gallon). With her 4,000 gallon fuel capacity she has very long legs for trans-Atlantic crossings. She proved 27 knot top speeds. In various sea states, high-speed cruise was a consistent 23 knots (+/- 0.5kt), with less than 70% engine load.

Tricon Completes Shipyard in China

Tricon Marine, a builder of FRP/Composite luxury yachts up to 180 ft long, has completed construction of China’s first and only North American-owned and operated shipyard. Yachts currently under construction have been moved to the new facility, including Tricon’s next launch, a 92 ft long-range offshore performance motoryacht commissioned by an undisclosed Tricon client.
