Hatteland Display Relocates Norwegian HQ

Hatteland Display is moving its headquarters 30 miles west to a new purpose-built building with extended research and development (R&D) and testing facilities. The company has begun to relocate from its original location in Åmsosen to its new HQ in Aksdal on the west coast of Norway, in a move that aims to support Hatteland Display’s technology growth strategy and to ensure better links and shipping access. Hatteland Display’s entire Norwegian operation is moving to the purpose-built building on Aksdal Business Park.

Norautron Names Johannessen CEO

The board of Norautron Group AS has appointed Trond K. Johannessen as president and CEO, effective as of June 1, 2017.   Johannessen comes from the position as CEO of Hatteland Display AS. He has also been part of the executive management team in Tomra Systems ASA for several years and worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company.    In addition to his new role, Trond K. Johannessen will maintain his duties as CEO of Hatteland Display AS until further notice.

Hatteland Display Celebrates 25 Years

On November 1, 2014, Hatteland Display celebrated its 25th anniversary as a supplier of maritime displays and computers. From the early days in 1989 and up until today, the company has delivered more than 200,000 products to system integrators worldwide. Hatteland Marine Computer Wins Red Dot

Hatteland Display’s HT C01 computer has received a Red Dot Award and an honorable mention distinction in the Red Dot Awards: Product Design 2009. These annual awards are given to products from all industry sectors that meet high levels of design excellence, as determined by an expert panel of judges made up of design professionals. This is the second Red Dot Award for Hatteland Display, having won in 2007 for the new Series 2 display family. The 2009 awards were entered by around 1400 companies with 3231 products. Hatteland Display Appoints Johannessen

The board of Hatteland Display has employed Trond K. Johannessen as its new President & CEO, starting Feb 1, 2009. The appointment follows a growth period where the company has increased revenue from $9.4m in 2000 to $48.5m in 2007. Hatteland Display's current President & CEO, Knut Vidar Lauritsen, who handed over the baton to Trond Johannessen, will remain in a key management role, focusing on innovation, product and business development. Trond K. Johannessen comes from Tomra Systems ASA, where he has been a Senior Vice President, managing one of the corporation's key-business areas.
