An innovative, zero-emissions workboat featuring hydrofoils and a fully electric propulsion system is scheduled to hit the water before the end of the year.The 11-meter vessel, announced by Artemis Technologies COO, Prof. Mark Gillan, during a presentation to the Workboat Association’s Technical Workgroup on Tuesday, will be built by Tuco Marine Group and is fitted with the Artemis eFoiler electric propulsion system. It is designed as a commercial multipurpose workboat platform to help operators reduce fuel usage and carbon emissions.

Danish operator Hovedstadens Beredskab (HBR)—part of the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department Association— recently commissioned the build of HBR 1 Copenhagen, a full cabin multi-response vessel that can sail under all weather conditions. The new vessel responds to emergency calls in the Harbor of Copenhagen and the surrounding area, navigating the city’s canals to deliver a fast and effective fire response to the residence.The finished vessel latest model in Tuco Marine Group’s ProZero series of fast workboats.

Artemis Technologies has announced a joint venture with Denmark’s Tuco Marine Group to produce the world’s first zero emissions workboat.Artemis Technologies will collaborate with Tuco Marine Group to integrate its new electric eFoiler propulsion system into an 11m carbon fiber vessel.This will serve as a demonstrator vessel as proof of concept for the innovative technology that will be marketed to the marine trade by Artemis Technologies and Tuco Marine Group, which supplies the ProZero high performance Workboat range.  The hydrofoils and propulsion system for the proof of concept vessel will be manufactured and assembled in Belfast Harbour, following a multi million pound investment in the project.

Tuco Marine Group closed a deal for new ProZero 8m Center Console Interceptor with Hamburg Police Special Forces.The 8m ProZero CC Interceptor is the short-length successor to the 12m ProZero Interceptor. The 8m Center Console offers a non-stepped, variable deep V-bottom hull featuring a fine forward entry, a flared bow, wide chines and lifting strakes/spray rails.Itr is constructed from carbon fiber composites to yield a low total weight, high performance, fuel efficiency and extended range. The ProZero boats are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 40 knots under full loading conditions.

Tuco Marine Group has just launched the SOLAS compliant ProZero Mrk 3 Fast Rescue Boat as part of the carbon fiber-based ProZero line. With its lightweight construction, operational capacity is increased – the rescue craft can respond faster and cover more area over longer periods of time.The new FRC is a third-generation design built around the already well proven ProZero 7,5-meter Fast Rescue Boat. The first two iterations of the 7,5-meter FRC design have been developed and tested thoroughly during the ProZero development project for which Tuco received funding under the Horizon2020 SME Instrument program. This development project ended in 2018, but Tuco Marine has continued to refine the project results and implement them in the ProZero series.

Tuco Marine Group said it has signed a contract with DALO (The Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization) to deliver two bespoke hydrographic survey boats to replace two existing survey vessels that have become obsolete. The new vessels, based on Tuco’s ProZero concept, have been designed to allow full use of the latest technology for hydrographic surveys. Tuco Marine Group has introduced remote controlled navigation systems for the ProZero Workboats, offering autonomous self-piloting vessels. Working together with Sea Machines, Tuco Marine Group can now provide the ProZero series, delivered with a system that makes the vessels autonomous and remote controlled. The system can be embedded into a wide variety of boats in the ProZero series, making them self-piloting, increasing productivity and keeping personnel safe from potential harm.

Tuco Marine Group of Denmark informs it has inked a new order for its 11-meter wind farm service boat from the ProZero series of fast rescue boats, daughter crafts and workboats. Tuco said the new order is from a major, but for now undisclosed, company in the European offshore market, and marks the third sale in a row of the group’s 11-meter wind farm service boat, a vessel designed specifically to the far offshore wind farm market as a daughter craft to the SOVs that are to enter this market during the coming seasons.

Tuco Marine has launched two new search and rescue (SAR) vessel designs approaching next week’s Europort in Rotterdam. The boats have been developed upon international requests and designed by a team of engineers in collaboration with naval experts. The SAR boats are covered, high speed crafts featuring different beams. One is optimized for a double outboard drive solution, based on the ProZero hull with a beam of 2.84 meters, making it an extremely effective hull with great maneuverability, according to Tuco.

The new design is released shortly after Tuco won the order for two 11m Wind Farm Service Boats that have been ordered for the Two Ulstein X-stern vessels that German based Bernhard Schulte affiliate WINDEA Offshore GmbH, have ordered for their contract with Siemens Wind Power. The new 10m WIND FARM SERVICE BOAT is a dedicated service boat and crew transfer vessel, for offshore wind farms.

Tuco Marine Group will supply its 11m ProZero Wind Farm Service Vessel daughter crafts to the two Ulstein X-stern vessels ordered by the German based Bernhard Schulte affiliate WINDEA Offshore GmbH. The vessels will go into charter for Siemens. And the daughter crafts will be delivered from Tuco Marine in Q2 and Q3 2016. The daughter crafts - the "ProZero 11m Wind Farm Service Vessel" - is from the newly developed ProZero series. The hull design is based on the well proven and tested hull from Tuco's Guard Series. Tuco has produced and continuously developed the Guard series since 2002.

Tuco Marine Group has introduced a new 7.5-meter ProZero fast rescue craft (FRC) design as part of the carbon fiber constructed ProZero boat line. The highly specialized FRC market is one where weight saving benefits of the ProZero design can make a difference to the market standards, Tuco said, adding that it slow-weight rescue craft results in a faster rescue craft with larger operational range and extended working time on sea. FRCs are often used as offshore recue crafts, primarily deployed from larger motherships.

Tuco Marine Group says that it has sold its first boat shortly after the launch of ProZero, the new range of boats for the professional market. The vessel was sold in close cooperation with Tuco's Norwegian partner Provide Maritime A/S and was commissioned by Bergen & Omland Friluftsråd for the Archipelago service. The vessel, a ProZero 10.5 DC Archipelago, is from the newly developed ProZero Vesel series. The hull design is based on the well proven hulls from Tuco's Guard Vessel Series. The Guard series has been produced and continuously developed by Tuco since 2002. The focus in the creation of the ProZero series has been targeted to make an even lighter vessels series, that include both FRBs, Workboats and Daughter Crafts.
