SBM Offshore Nominates Wood as CFO

SBM Offshore has nominated D.H.M. Wood as a member of the management board and chief financial officer (CFO) to replace current CFO, P.M. van Rossum, who is set to retire. The company will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on November 30, 2016 where it will be proposed that Wood be appointed as a member of the management board for a period of four years until the 2021 AGM. Van Rossum will then step down as management board member and CFO. Wood has worked at Royal Dutch Shell plc since 1993 in various financial and management positions, including as Vice President Finance & Planning Exploration (at Shell Upstream International) and most recently as CFO of Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. in Japan, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

M3nergy Berhad Unveil Latest FPSO Vessel

Y.A.B Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah and Y.A.B Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Hajjah Faridah Haji Tussin, wife of Chief Minister of Sabah with the distinguished guests on the launch of M3nergy Berhad's latest FPSO vessel -- Ratu Nusantara.

M3nergy Berhad celebrated the completion of their latest FPSO vessel, Ratu Nusantara, at a launch ceremony at the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore. Under the auspices of SKK Migas and PC Ketapang II Ltd (PCK2L), the newly named vessel will embark on its inaugural voyage for the Bukit Tua oil and gas field in Indonesia operated by PETRONAS. Ratu Nusantara, a converted FPSO, has been constructed from a 1994-built Aframax tanker, 'Scorpius' which was meted out in the last quarter of 2013.

Shell Director on Medical Leave

Royal Dutch Shell today announced that, effective immediately, Upstream International Director, Andy Brown, is on extended leave to recuperate from a recent medical procedure.   During Andy's recuperation and until his return to work, Maarten Wetselaar,  Executive Vice President Integrated Gas and former head of finance for Upstream International, will serve as acting Upstream International Director, in addition to carrying out his regular duties.

Petrobas CEO to Deliver Keynote Address at Nor-Shipping 2013

Petrobras CEO, Maria das Graças Silva Foster – named one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Time magazine in 2012 – will be a keynote speaker for the New Frontiers roundtable at Nor-Shipping’s Agenda Offshore conference on June 5. Foster will be joined by top executives from two other world-leading oil and gas companies. Statoil CEO Helge Lund and Royal Dutch Shell Upstream International Director Andy Brown will speak at the event, the second time Nor-Shipping hosts a conference connecting the offshore industry and the maritime industry.

Shell Moves Forward with Floating LNG

Shell announces final investment decision on Prelude Floating LNG project in Australia. The Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) has taken the final investment decision on the Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Project in Australia (100% Shell), building the world’s first FLNG facility. Floating LNG Contracts to Technip, Samsung

Shell Gas & Power Developments BV signed a master agreement with a consortium comprising Technip and Samsung for the design, construction and installation of multiple floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facilities over a period of up to fifteen years. Shell and Technip-Samsung also signed a contract for execution of the front end engineering and design (FEED) for Shell's 3.5 million tonne per annum (mtpa) FLNG solution. Shell Gas & Power Developments BV (Shell) signed a master agreement with a consortium comprising Technip and Samsung for the design, construction and installation of multiple floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facilities over a period of up to fifteen years, the company reported. Shell and Technip-Samsung also signed a contract for execution of the front end engineering and design (FEED) for Shell's 3.5 million ton per annum (mtpa) FLNG solution. The broad operating parameters of the Shell design mean it can be redeployed.
