Ardmore Appoints Dr. Tikka to Board of Directors

Ardmore Shipping Corporation (NYSE: ASC) (“Ardmore”) has announced the appointment of Dr. Kirsi Tikka to the company’s Board of Directors.Dr. Tikka has over 30 years of shipping experience having recently retired from the American Bureau of Shipping  (“ABS”) in July 2019. She joined ABS in 2001 and held various specialist and leadership positions within ABS including as ABS Executive Vice President Global Marine, Europe Division President, and as Vice President and Chief Engineer, Global.

Witte Joins Noble Maritime Collection Board

Donjon Marine, Co., Inc. announced that President and CEO J. Arnold Witte has joined the Board of Trustees of the Noble Maritime Collection, a museum and study center located in a former dormitory at the famous retirement home for mariners, Sailors' Snug Harbor in Staten Island, N.Y. The museum celebrates the people and traditions of the working waterfront. Witte was named to the Board, along with Shelagh E. Mahoney, President of the Eastern Salt Company, and Captain Timothy J. Ferrie, a 30-year member and full branch pilot of the United New Jersey Sandy Hook Pilots Association. The announcement was made by James J. Devine, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Noble Maritime Collection and President of New York Container Terminal.

Tikka Promoted at ABS

Dr Kirsi Tikka has been promoted to the position of Vice President Global Technology and Business Development at ABS. The new position means a considerable expansion of her previous responsibilities as Vice President Special Projects at the classification society. Dr Tikka also serves as the ABS representative on the Council of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). In her new role, Dr Tikka will report directly to ABS President and COO Christopher J. Wiernicki and will assume direct oversight of the worldwide network of Technology and Business Development executives within ABS. These individuals are at the forefront in establishing and maintaining relationships with the society's shipowner and shipyard clients to clearly identify their future technology needs.
