Fueltrax Earns Certification by Verifavia

Verifavia Shipping, the independent accredited environmental verification and auditing body for maritime industry, has certified Fueltrax, against the European Union’s (EU) Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) regulation requirements and IMO Data Collection System (DCS).The EU MRV regulation requires ships of 5,000 gross tonnages or higher to collect data from previous years to monitor CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, and other parameters, such as distance traveled, time at sea, and cargo carried on a per voyage basis. Zeaborn: 100 vessels to be EU Hazardous Compliant

Germany’s Zeaborn Ship Management has contracted Verifavia Shipping and the Korean Register (KR) to perform inventory of hazardous materials (IHM) preparation and certification for over 100 vessels.The vessels are managed by Zeaborn Ship Management, a consolidation of E.R. Wallem, Zeaborn Choose Verifavia Shipping for EU MRV Monitoring

Wallem Ship Management in Hong Kong and Zeaborn Ship Management in Hamburg have chosen  Verifavia Shipping for European Union (EU) Reporting and Verification (MRV) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Data Collection System (DCS), as well as certification of associated IT systems.The emissions verification company for the transport sector said in a press release that trough their agreement with Zeaborn Ship Management, Verifavia Shipping will provide EUV verification services as well as the status of their flag.It will also be certified by Zeaborn Ship Management for these regulations. Panama Maritime Authority Authorises Verifavia

Verifavia to Provide IMO DCS Services for Liberian-flagged Ships

Emissions verification company for the transport sector Verifavia said it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Liberian Registry to conduct IMO DCS and EU MRV verification services for Liberian-flagged vessels. The Liberian Registry – the second largest in the world – includes more than 4,200 vessels aggregating 150+ million gross metric tons, representing 12 percent of the world’s ocean going fleet. As part of the cooperation – the company’s first major step as an IMO DCS (data collection system) verifier –  Verifavia Shipping will leverage its existing knowledge and expertise as an independent EU Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) dual-accredited verifier to deliver streamlined and efficient verification services to Liberian-registered vessels.

StormGeo Receives EU MRV Certification

StormGeo’s shipping division (formerly AWT) has received its certification as an EU MRV supplier by Verifavia Shipping. The European Union’s decision to monitor CO2 emissions for most vessels in excess of 5000 gross tons affects owners or vessel managers with ships that are calling on ports in EU member states. The EU requires ship-specific monitoring plans to be in place by August 31, 2017, including being MRV compliant for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification. Verifavia Earns Dual Accreditation

Verifavia, an emissions verification company for the aviation and shipping transport sectors, has received a second accreditation by France’s national accreditation body Cofrac as a global EU monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) verifier. This makes Verifavia the first globally accredited verifier to receive dual accreditation under ISO 14065 standard and regulation 757/2015.
