Offshore Safety Training from Seagull

Saegull Maritime has announced the launch of two new computer-based training (CBT) modules, focusing on deck safety for specific types of offshore vessels that will be as useful for seasoned crew as well as newcomers. The video training program covers deck safety for supply vessels and anchor handlers, and has been developed in response to demand from customers, according to Seagull. Deck Safety for Supply Vessels and Deck Safety for Anchor Handlers as part of an expanding library of offshore titles from Seagull Maritime that reflect its growing presence in the sector. The topics have been prioritized at the request of customers. Unique Technologies Improve Port Security

Practical results from the SUPPORT (Security UPgrade for PORTS) project, coordinated by BMT Group Ltd. and part-funded by the European Commission’s FP7 Security Research Program will be demonstrated to key stakeholders at Stena Line’s ferry terminals starting at Masthuggskajen in the Port of Gothenburg on May 7-8, 2014. KVH will bring FIFA to Mariners

KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) has come to an agreement with IMG Media to distribute video content of the 2014 FIFA World Cup ™ to merchant ships. MaritimeTV.com to Webcast SOCP Coverage

MaritimeTV.com, an Internet TV channel on the TVWorldwide.com network will provide live webcast coverage of the Ship Operations Cooperative Program (SOCP) meeting to be held June 3 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The webcast meeting will feature presentations and a discussion panel with an inland water focus.
