Thales Awarded Royal Navy Services Contract

Thales U.K. signed a 10-year contract with the Ministry of Defense (MOD), worth up to £600 million, for the in-service support of the Royal Navy’s major sensor systems. The new Sensors Support Optimization Project (SSOP) builds on the Thales’s Contractor Logistics Support contract, originally signed in 2003, which has provided support to the Royal Navy’s sonar and electronic warfare systems for the past 10 years. Royal Australian Navy Opens KONGSBERG Simulator Training In Sydney

Warship handling and anti-piracy training capabilities boost for RAN. The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) opened its recently upgraded ship's bridge simulator training facility at HMAS Watson in Sydney on 25th March 2011. Featuring a host of new full mission and desktop simulators from Kongsberg Maritime, the new facility represents one of the most advanced naval training centres in the world and will be used by RAN cadets to learn to pilot the next generation of warships, alongside a wide range of critical training applications, including anti-piracy.

Burger Boat Company Collaborates with Bentley

A collaboration was formed between Burger Boat Company – Monaco, Bentley-Cannes and HMS, audio visual systems to host a luxury brand Captain’s Happy Hour reception. The event drew nearly 70 guests who were entertained in the Bentley Automobile Showroom. Through the high tech world of HMS and their genius web rigging, attendees were able to view a live virtual tour of the new state-of-the-art Burger Shipyard in Manitowoc with President and CEO of Burger Boat Company, David Ross. “This reception gave us a unique opportunity to showcase our shipyard, the six yacht projects currently underway and share the spirit of Burger via live, real-time internet from halfway around the world,” states Ross.
