Two VLCCs Join Navig8 VL8 Pool

Navig8 VL8 pool is to take delivery of two VLCCs from Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation (CSET). The VL8 pool is one of the largest VLCC tanker pools in the world managed by Navig8.The 322,860dwt Xin Lian Yang (built 2014) will deliver to the pool later this month, with a second modern unit to be delivered during November."We are extremely excited to have received CSET's commitment and welcome CSET as a partner," said Jason Klopfer, Navig8 managing director.This increases the number of committed vessels to 24 in the VL8 Pool.Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation is engaged in the shipment of oil and cargoes along the coast of the People’s Republic of China and internationally.

OSC Launches VLCC Chartering Business

Oman Shipping Company (OSC) has officially set up a new commercial chartering desk offering its Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCCs) to major traders and charterers covering VLCC routes worldwide. OSC, one of the biggest ship owners in the MENA region, has a diversified and young fleet of 50 vessels. OSC owns 16 VLCCs within the fleet out of which OSC is now commercially managing 15 VLCCs through its subsidiary Oman Charter Company (OCC). The move follows an announcement in December 2016 which saw OSC withdrawing 15 VLCCs from the VL8 pool based in Singapore.

Gener8 Adds New ECO VLCC

Gener8 Maritime announced that it took delivery of the "ECO" VLCC the Gener8 Hector on January 6, 2017 from Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines. The Gener8 Hector represents the nineteenth of 21 "ECO" VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet.  Upon delivery, the Gener8 Hector entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool.

Oman Shipping Withdraws from Navig8 Pool

Navig8 Group (Navig8), the world's largest provider of maritime services,  has announced that it has been advised by Oman Shipping Company SAOC (OSC) that they have decided to internalize the commercial management of their VLCC fleet which had been hitherto in the VL8 pool. The VL8 pool is one of the largest VLCC tanker pools in the world and one of 16 shipping pools managed by Navig8. The company's 16 shipping pools bring together multiple, like-minded owners with vessels of similar type and characteristics, into distinct pools. Each pool is managed by the Navig8 as a single, cohesive fleet, allowing owners to leverage Navig8's leading network of charterer relationships and strong cargo base.

Gener8 Miltiades Delivered

Gener8 Maritime, Inc. a leading U.S.-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services, announced that it took delivery of the "ECO" VLCC the Gener8 Miltiades on October 25, 2016 from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. ("SWS"). The Gener8 Miltiades  represents the sixteenth of 21 "ECO" VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet. Upon delivery, the Gener8 Miltiades entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool. The Gener8 Miltiades is the sixth "ECO" VLCC delivered by SWS to Gener8 Maritime, concluding our newbuilding program with the yard.

Two VLCCs Delivered to Gener8 Maritime

Gener8 Maritime, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services, announced that it took delivery of two very large crude carriers (VLCC).   The Gener8 Perseus was delivered September 9, 2016 from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., and the Gener8 Oceanus on September 12, 2016 from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Upon delivery, both tankers entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool.   The two new tankers represent vessels 14 and 15 of 21 "ECO" VLCCs ordered for the Gener8 Maritime fleet. The shipper has on order four more VLCCs anticipated for delivery in 2016 and two for 2017.

VLCC Delivered to Gener8 Maritime

Gener8 Maritime, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services, announced that it has taken delivery of the ECO VLCC the Gener8 Macedon on August 30, 2016 from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.   The Gener8 Macedon represents the 13th of 21 ECO VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet.    Upon delivery, the Gener8 Macedon entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool.

VLCC Delivered to Gener8 Maritime

Gener8 Maritime, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services, has taken delivery of the ECO VLCC the Gener8 Constantine on June 27, 2016 from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.   The Gener8 Constantine represents the 11th of 21 ECO VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet.   Upon delivery, the Gener8 Constantine entered Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool.

VLCC Gener8 Nautilus Delivered

Gener8 Maritime, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services, announced that it took delivery of the ECO VLCC the Gener8 Nautilus on April 20, 2016 from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The Gener8 Nautilus represents the ninth of 21 ECO VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet.  Upon delivery, the Gener8 Nautilus entered Navig8's VL8 Pool.

Gener8 Maritime Acquires ECO VLCC

Gener8 Maritime, Inc. involved in international seaborne crude oil transportation services, today announced that it took delivery of the ECO VLCC Gener8 Neptune from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering on September 11, 2015.  The Gener8 Neptune represents the first of 21 "ECO" VLCCs expected to be delivered into Gener8 Maritime's fleet. Upon delivery, the Gener8 Neptune will be entered into Navig8's VL8 Pool.

Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. (OSC) took delivery of a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) “BUKHA”, at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME), Okpo, South Korea. “BUKHA” is designed and constructed according to the latest international standards, and it has advanced ballast water treatment technology to comply with international conventions on the protection of the environment from the effects of transportation of ballast water and sediments around the world.
