Revolution Lighting Awarded US Navy Contract

Kongsberg said it has opened its first office and warehouse facility in the Republic of South Africa on Friday, November 4, 2016. Located in Cape Townâs airport zone, the new Kongsberg Maritime South Africa facility joins the companyâs global network of first party sites, consisting 64 offices located in 20 countries, employing more than 4,000 people. APM Terminals, Volvo Ink Chennai Warehouse Deal
APM Terminals Inland Services, South Asia has signed an exclusive agreement with Gothenburg, Sweden-based Volvo Cars to provide a dedicated, specialized warehouse facility in Chennai. Boosting Sri Lankaâs international investment profile, the worldâs largest shipper Maersk Line is moving for Sri Lanka entry. The Danish multinational Maersk Line has been the worldâs largest container shipping company since 1996. It operates 604 container vessels across the world and calls on 343 ports in 121 countries. New Delhi based Danish Ambassador for Sri Lanka Peter Taksøe-Jensen revealed the Maersk Line's breakthrough entry plans for Sri Lanka when he paid a courtesy call on Sri Lankan Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen. Finning Opens National Distribution Center
Finning has opened its £8 million purpose-built National Distribution Center in Cannock to support its continued customer growth in after sales support and maintenance. The warehouse facility in Cannock houses all of the dealershipâs engines plus 60,000 different product lines, all of which are available for next day delivery. In addition the company has worked with their transport and logistics provider to replace eight of their existing trailers with new higher spec vehicles.

An £8 million investment in the Port of Liverpoolâ animal feed warehouse facility makes it the largest of its type in the U.K., increasing capacity by 60% to 400,000sq.ft, allowing Peel Ports Group to add value to its customer supply chains and create effective logistics solutions, the company said. Bibby Offshore HQ in Final Stage of Construction
The new purpose-built headquarters for subsea installation contractor, Bibby Offshore is entering its final phase of construction. The new 53,427 sq. ft. office facility at Prospect Park, Westhill, which represents a multi-million pound investment, is on track to be completed by April 2013. Bibby Offshore staff are due to relocate from its existing offices at Waterloo Quay to the new premises by the end of May 2013. A planning application has also been submitted for a new warehouse workshop and yard on Peregrine Road, Westhill.
Siemens Wins Order for Two Marine PSVs
Siemens Industr awarded a multimillion dollar contract by LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC to equip two newly constructed Aries Marine Corporation marine platform supply vessels (PSV) with its unique diesel electric propulsion solution at Leevacâs facilities in Jennings, La. âThe demands placed on the onboard systems and technologies of todayâs PSVs are high as these vessels are specialized and tailored based upon particular machine layouts, power requirements, automation processes, climatic conditions and more,â says David Grucza, marine business manager, Siemens Industry, Inc. The two 270 ft PSVs will be outfitted with Siemens Blue multi-drive, low-voltage system.
New York Container Terminal Attracts New Customers
Staten Island, N.Y. - New York Container Terminal Inc. (NYCT), a full-service ocean container and intermodal cargo-handling facility in the Port of New York and New Jersey, today announced that its Centralized Examination Site (CES) has handled more than 2,000 container inspections since opening in January. The NYCT facility is meeting all U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements to operate as a Comprehensive CES and attracting new customers to use the facility from customers across the entire port.
