MMA Offshore Sells Batam Shipyard

Nord Stream's Last Pipe Leaves Sweden Port

The last Nord Stream 2 pipe stored within the premises of the port of Karlshamn left the storage area. Russia’s  Nord Stream 2 AG is the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project.Nearly 39,000 pipes have transited through the port since October 7, 2017. Out of these, almost 37,000 pipes have been shipped to the pipelay vessels working on the Swedish section of the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline. The surplus has been transported back to the port of Mukran in northern Germany.Wasco Coating Germany GmbH was in charge of the logistics operations in the port of Karlshamn during this 23-month long period.Up to 140 people worked for the Nord Stream 2 project during the peak period in the port of Karlshamn, when operations went on around the clock.

1000 Km of the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Laid

1000 km of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline has now been laid in the Baltic Sea in Finnish, Swedish and German waters.Two Allseas pipelay vessels - Pioneering Spirit and Solitaire - are currently installing the pipeline in Swedish waters.Some twenty vessels are currently being engaged in the project in the Baltic Sea, with nearly 1,300 people working on board the pipelay, pipe supply and survey vessels.Another milestone was also reached last week, when the project’s coating and logistics contractor Wasco completed concrete weight coating of its share of the steel pipes in its plant in Kotka, Finland, where approximately 101,000 steel pipes had been coated.This corresponds to half of the pipes needed for the twin pipelines.The twin pipeline system consists of two approximately 1…

Nord Stream 2 Makes Good Progress

The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information on the progress of the Nord Stream 2 project. The meeting commended the progress made on Nord Stream 2, stressing that the project was going according to the approved schedule. In early September, the project operator Nord Stream 2 AG signed a contract with a subsidiary of Wasco Group for concrete weight coating, logistics, and pipe storage. At the end of that month, first pipes manufactured by United Metallurgical Company and Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant were delivered to the coating plant in Finland. In late October, first pipes produced by Germany’s Europipe GmbH arrived at the coating facility in Germany.

Dana Gas Wins Block Offshore Egypt

Dana Gas said it has signed an agreement for the North El Arish (Block 6) Concession Area, offshore the eastern Nile Delta. The 2,980 sq. km block was awarded in April 2013 as part of a competitive bidding process. This is the company’s first offshore block in Egypt, covering water depths from 20 up to a 1,000 m. Multiple play types have already been identified within the acreage and plans for the first exploration phase of four years, which has now commenced, includes seismic acquisition and the drilling of one exploration well.

Dana Gas Receives $53m from Egypt

Dana Gas received from the Egyptian Government authorities $53m from the current total outstanding receivables of  $330m. Payment of $42 million has been received in US dollars and the balance in equivalent Egyptian pounds. Including this tranche, during 2013, Dana Gas has received a total of $130m from the Egyptian Government authorities. The Egyptian Government has committed to work with the company on a plan to repay the remainder of the outstanding receivables over an agreed time frame.

Dana Gas Egypt Production Reaches 200 Million SCFD

Polarled Extreme Depth Pipeline Contract

The Polarled-pipeline will export gas from Statoil's Aasta Hansteen field in the Norwegian Sea to the Nyhamna gas plant. Statoil has awarded Marubeni Itochu/JFE the fabrication contract for linepipe to the Polarled project, while Wasco has been awarded the coating contract, and Allseas the pipe-laying contract.
